Samuel L Jackson Tells America To ‘Wake The F*** Up’
Some time back, Samuel L Jackson made some waves by reading Adam Mansbach’s book, “Go The Fuck To Sleep” and has performed in a few movies in his time. Now he has decided on lending his audio skills and his eloquent voice to this election with a new political ad coming from the Jewish Council for Education and Research that was released this morning:
This, of course, shocked some of the right-wing, who called the ad “vulgar” and “racist.” In so doing, they guaranteed the ad’s visibility, which is a marketing executives number one wish.
Written by Mansbach, the advertisement is designed as a call to the disheartened and disappointed voters who turned out in 2008, but now did not seem to have the same energy. It points out how the act of not voting is little different from voting for the other candidate than one which you support. The language is colorful, but the message is clear; on November 6th, Wake the f*** up, and go vote.”
