Victoria’s Not The Only One With A Secret – Fox Reveals Hot Recruiting Technique (AUDIO)

Their cover’s been blown.
It’s long been suspected that Fox News’ bouncy, blonde bombshells – I mean, babes – oops, sorry, I mean, pundits, are so uniformly babelicious that it’s likely their hiring criteria included measurements that have nothing to do with GPAs. It’s now been confirmed.
Think Progress, in today’s really big breaking story, has uncovered what others have been whispering about for years: Fox relies on a certain “Victoria” to assist in their recruitment.
Fox News host Brian Kilmeade today referred to his female coworkers as Victoria’s Secret models who can also speak.

During Kilmeade’s Fox radio show, he joked to his female co-host Alisyn Camerota that the way he and his network pick out female hosts is, “we go into the Victoria’s Secret catalogue and we said, ‘Can any of these people talk?’ And they all could and they all went to college.”
I know you’re choking on your coffee right, flabbergasted that any man in a high-profile media job in the 21st century could make such an obtusely idiotic statement, so I’m happy to provide the audio for confirmation:
Given the bevy of buxom blondes that fill the chairs and couches at Fox, one would guess Brian is right on the money. And they are quite the crew. I’d written earlier about Megyn Kelly, one of their stars who had a moment of uncharacteristic candor while confronting Karl Rove on his fact-mangling election night (‘Fox Girl’ Megyn Kelly Goes Radically Off Script And A Star Is Born?), but even she, while using her brain almost as much as her bod, too frequently exhibits the cooing, catty vapidity most often attributed to “being blonde.”
And there does seem to be a odd casting mandate regarding hair color over there; have you ever noticed how most of the Fox chicks are blondes while MSNBC goes for the brunettes? What’s that about? The classic beauty vs. brains “news-off”? One of those weird Betty and Veronica things?
Whatever it is, the casting model (pun intended) now outed by Mr. Kilmeade, is likely one as appreciated by the salivating male viewers of Fox as the Victoria Secret TV specials with their “naked Angels” prancing down the runway in $400 thongs. Fox knows who their audience is: they may be the “worst informed viewers” in the country, but damn if they can’t be counted on to pick a hot blonde over brunette brains any day!
