Four-year-old Trinity Ross died after another child shot her in the head, and after spending several days in the hospital on life support. The child’s stepmother was babysitting four children under age six, had left the room, and returned after hearing the shot and found Trinity lying on the floor injured. A loaded revolver was found in the pocket of a coat hanging on a chair in their Kansas City home. The coat had been left by one of the children’s fathers. Shouldn’t this man permanently lose his gun privileges and be facing manslaughter charges?
