Join Addicting Info‘s Texas correspondent, Egberto Willies in Austin, Texas for exclusive coverage, interviews, photos, and videos as crowds of Texas women dramatically take their last stand against the Republican’s draconian anti-abortion bill. As a flood of orange “Stand With Texas Women” T-shirts surges into the state Capitol, the blue-clad anti-choice bill’s supporters look determined but woefully outnumbered. The vote is scheduled for later Friday evening or Saturday morning. It may only be Friday the 12th — not the 13th — but it’s still looking like a very unlucky day for Republicans.

If you want to come to the rally, you’re going to have to wait on a long, long line … is it because security has to search so many women for potentially lethal tampons?

Orange is the pro-choice Stand With Texas Women’s color. Blue is the anti-choice opposition’s color. As Texans gather for the upcoming rally, we’re not seeing much blue around here.

Dear God, they’re confiscating tampons … and panty liners … and papers and books! SO, if you were planning on sticking a tampon up some anti-choicer’s nose, sorry, you’re SOL. Photo by Egberto Willies.

Oh God, this poor woman lost her mother to an illegal — and presumably horribly botched — abortion. She deserves our heartfelt gratitude for so bravely sharing. Photo by Egberto Willies.

‘This legislature has run amok!’ — Join us for an exclusive interview with a heroic Texas woman as she takes her last stand in Austin for women’s rights. Photo of Stand With Texas Women activist Andrea Gardner from video by Egberto Willies.
Meet the heroic Texas woman who has made the trek to Austin, TX seven times, while ferrying dozens of her fellow Houston area residents back and forth so they, too, can Stand With Texas Women against the GOP’s draconian anti-abortion measures.
Andrea shares the same opinion of many Texans, who feel appalled by the extent to which Texas Republicans have infringed on women’s rights to reproductive health and making decisions about their own bodies and family planning. Although the bill is likely to pass, Andrea does not believe all her efforts are in vain. She believes this is the genesis of a new and powerful home-grown Texas Progressive Movement.
“This legislature has run amok!” Gardner declares indignantly.
