Remember the right-wing Facebook page that posted a meme calling for President Obama to be lynched? Well, they’re under new management now and it’s the most hilarious takeover ever. Here’s a screenshot of the original post calling for our president’s lynching. You can read more about that here: “Right-Wing Facebook Page Calls For National Lynch President Obama Day (IMAGE)”.
Hackers took over the right-wing Facebook page that called for lynching President Obama and hilarity ensued.
Last week, America the next Generation called for hanging President Obama and making the day of his killing a national holiday. Obama’s head was superimposed over that Saddam Hussein just before he was executed. After an outcry calling upon Facebook to take the page down and for the US Secret Service to investigate, page admins removed the offensive image. But what the page owners didn’t expect was to be hacked and taken over by left-wing trolls.
Hackers give the Obama-lynching page a new look.
Now the once right-wing Facebook page has the following description.
“This page WAS ran by backwards f-cks who though they could post a pic Of Obama getting lynched and get away with it. Now it haz GOATZ!!!”
The hackers also gave the right-wing Facebook page a new cover image.
To ensure that even America the Next Generation‘s fans noticed that their right-wing Facebook page was under new management, the hackers also pinned this post at the top.
On Thursday, hackers swiftly took control of the page and began spamming it with goat memes. Seriously, they actually did that and it’s still going on. Don’t believe me? Enjoy the many screenshots below.
To see more, you can visit the page here.
The original owner of the right-wing page isn’t pleased about his page being taken over by goats.
Needless to say, the original owner isn’t happy about the situation. A new, duplicate page has been set up and the unhappy admin is posting messages on the goat-dominated one whining about the takeover. In the screenshot below, the incensed owner goes on a grammatical- and spelling-error-filled tirade demanding that the hackers return the page. It’s the sort of angry post one would expect from a member of the Tea Party.
“still here!!!!!!!!! get off are [sic] page and restore our main page to us or face prosecution for theft. report already filed and police are investigating. yes it is a crime and money was lost that is punishable with jail time and you will be prosecuted! you don’t no [sic] the law I do!”
So the question is, what will Facebook do? They didn’t take down the offensive photo or punish the page that posted it because for some reason, making threats on the life of our President somehow doesn’t violate their ‘standards.’ Hacking, however, does. Of course, hacking a Facebook page isn’t nearly as bad as calling for lynching America’s first Black president. If Facebook takes action against the hackers and not those who posted the offensive material in the first place, it would prove how screwed up Facebook’s ‘standards’ are.
Every day, conservatives post incredibly inflammatory statements and photos aimed at the Democrats and President Obama. It’s one thing to criticize the President’s policies on the merits. But posting offensive images that show Obama’s execution totally crosses a line. Facebook failed to act to remove the offensive content, so hackers stepped up and acted for them. And these hackers are prepared to turn hateful right-wing pages into ones that put smiles on our faces.
We hope our president “likes” this post.
