Fox News Host Apologizes For Sexist Remarks After Wife Rebukes Him (VIDEO)

On Wednesday’s episode of “The Five,” Fox host Eric Bolling made a terribly sexist comment about a female fighter pilot who led a phase of the airstrike campaign against ISIS.

Major Mariam Al Mansouri became the first female fighter pilot to serve in combat for the United Arab Emirates when she flew into battle earlier this week to take down targets in Syria. To commemorate the occasion, Bolling’s co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle praised Al Mansouri for leading the Monday attack at a time when women are still heavily oppressed in Arab nations.

The moment of celebration was ruined, however, when Guilfoyle handed the end of the show back to her male co-hosts Bolling and Greg Guttfield.

GUTTFIELD: The problem is after she bombed it she couldn’t park it.

BOLLING: Would that be considered boobs on the ground or no?

The “joking” didn’t impress Guilfoyle ,who hung her head in disbelief, and said, “Oh my gosh, why did they ruin my thing?”

In the aftermath, viewers and female Fox hosts were offended by the sexist comments. There was one person, however, whom Bolling offended the most.

On Thursday, Bolling stepped up to apologize for the remarks and explained that his own wife didn’t find her husband’s comment amusing at all.

I made a joke and when I got home, I got the look, and realized some people didn’t think it was funny at all. I said sorry to my wife and I apologize to all of you as well and want to make that very clear.

To which Guilfoyle added, “And you love women and have respect for them…”

“I do,” Bolling replied.

Apparently, it takes being put in the doghouse at home for a male Fox host to understand how sexist they were at work. Perhaps next time, Bolling will actually apologize to the female fighter pilot as well.
