Mike Huckabee To GOP: ‘I’m Gone’ If Republicans Won’t Fight Against Gay Marriage (VIDEO)

On Tuesday morning, Fox host Mike Huckabee made an appearance on the American Family Association’s “Today’s Issues” program and voiced his disappointment with the Republican Party. He warned the GOP that if they didn’t challenge the recent decision by the Supreme Court to remain uninvolved in lower court rulings concerning gay marriage bans, Huckabee would abandon the party. Huckabee said:

I am utterly exasperated with Republicans and the so-called leadership of the Republicans who have abdicated on this issue.” (source)

Because the GOP hasn’t challenged the Supreme Court’s decision yet, Huckabee promises that the Republican Party will “lose guys like me and a whole bunch of still God-fearing, Bible-believing people.”

He warned:

“I’m gone. I’ll become an independent. I’ll start finding people that have guts to stand. I’m tired of this.” (source)

Huckabee also stated that by not fighting against issues like marriage equality and abortion, the GOP will “guarantee they’re going to lose every election in the future.”
