Donald Trump Hits An All-Time-Low With His Disgraceful Response To The Paris Shootings (TWEETS, VIDEO)

While Paris, France and a horrified world figures out how to come together in the face of the horrific attacks on a Paris magazine that left 10 journalists and two policemen dead – Donald Trump is gloating.

At around midday local time, three masked attackers stormed the offices of Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine – armed with AK47 rifles, pump action shotguns, and, according to some reports, a rocket launcher.  They marched to the editorial office, where the entire team were in a meeting for Press Day, and called the names of each of their victims before callously shooting them.

Images and video of the attack begin circulating on social media almost immediately, revealing the sequence of the furious attack.

One such video purports to be taken from a rooftop and shows a gun battle in the street between the attackers and local police. In the footage, which readers are warned is extremely upsetting, a policeman falls to the ground after apparently being shot by the gunmen.  The gunmen then walk casually toward the officer, who lays prone on the ground, begging for his life – and execute him with a gunshot to the head at point blank range.

Trump took to Twitter to give his reaction to these tragic events. After a cursory message of condolence, he launched a hysterical attack.

First, on Obama’s policy of releasing innocent prisoners from Guantanamo Bay.

That’s right.  While France is weeping the loss of some of its most prominent satirists, and people across the world are reaching out in sympathy – Trump is cashing in on the grief to score points on gun control.  No one expects much from Trump these days, but even for him, this is tasteless in the extreme.

Thankfully, twitter users were on hand to remind him of this fact.

This guy took the billionaire on a walk down memory lane, to that special Dick Cheney moment.

004 rushAnd what about the rate of gun deaths in the US?

005 gretchenWhile today’s shooting was the worst tragedy to befall France in four decades, mass shootings in the US have tripled in recent years.

An FBI study identified 160 incidents that involved a shooter in a populated area between 2000 and 2013. The study did not include shootings tied to gangs or drugs. (FBI)

It speaks to the classlessness of figures like Donald Trump, that they can sit and watch such horror unfold, yet fail to show even the most rudimentary level of compassion.  He may have aspirations for the Presidency, but this guy isn’t fit to run a bath.
