Al Sharpton To Rush Limbaugh: Your 5 Years Are Up, So ‘Bon Voyage’ (VIDEO)

In 2010, Rush Limbaugh vowed to leave the U.S. if Obamacare went fully into effect by 2015. Now, Al Sharpton reminds us that Limbaugh’s five years are up. So let’s all wish Limbaugh “bon voyage,” and say good riddance to bad rubbish.

That’s right. On March 10, 2010, Limbaugh threw a hissy fit over Obamacare, and declared on his radio show:

“If this [Obamacare] passes, and it’s five years from now, and all that stuff [from Obamacare] gets implemented, I’m leaving the country. I’ll go to Costa Rica.”

Well guess what? On Weds. March 10, 2015’s edition of Politics Nation on MSNBC, Al Sharpton replays a few of Limbaugh’s greatest anti-Obamacare hits, then remarks:

“Wow. Time flies when you’re trashing a law that’s saving lives. The five years are up.”

Despite all of Limbaugh’s attempts to trash Obamacare with visions of U.S. government-run “death panels” and bizarre comparisons between Obamcare’s individual mandate and slavery, the ACA’s still around. In fact, Sharpton explains, Obamacare’s doing even better than expected.

“He made that promise five years ago this week, and the healthcare law is doing better than ever. We just learned the law’s projected cost’s continuing to fall due to low premiums.”

And, if Limbaugh decides “the Caribbean isn’t his thing,” he can visit France, Australia, or Japan.

“You won’t have to worry about the health care debate in any of those countries. They have universal care.”

Rush Limbaugh once had the most-listened-to talk radio program in the U.S., but his fortunes are swiftly fading. Thanks to plummeting ratings and increasing pressure on sponsors to pull their ads due to Limbaugh’s hateful, untruthful, and flat-out offensive content, this might be a good time for Limbaugh to make a quick exit.

Because you can’t slip something like this past Al Sharpton:

“Did Rush really think we really would ignore what he said and ignore a celebration like his going away party?”

So long, Rush. Let’s hope Limbaugh doesn’t get delayed by airport security for all that toxic vitriol he’s packing.
