Donald Trump Sticks His Foot Deeper Into His Mouth With More Anti-Immigrant Racism (VIDEO)

After Univision, NBC and Macy’s have all cut ties with Donald Trump after he called Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals last month, you would think that the Republican presidential candidate would back down from making racist comments so publicly. It turns out, not even the loss of literally millions of dollars can persuade “The Donald” to be less offensive. In fact, the backlash only seems to encourage the business mogul – and he’s expressing his bigoted

views even more since his presidential announcement.

On Wednesday’s CNN Tonight segment, host Don Lemon interviewed Trump over the phone and asked the GOP candidate to clarify those bizarre anti-immigrant comments. Trump could have used this as an opportunity to do damage control, but what Trump said instead is mind-blowing – watch below:

Not only did Trump give inaccurate statistics as justification for his claims, but he doubled down, adding even more racist comments to the ever-growing list. Referencing a 2014 Fusion story that reported 80% of female Central American immigrants were rape victims, Trump said, “You look at the statistics on rape, on crime, on everything coming in illegally into this country — they’re mind-boggling!”

Trump also tried to hit back at Univision, pointing out that the Spanish broadcaster owns Fusion. He said, “If you go to Fusion you will see a story about 80 percent of the women coming in — I mean, you have to take a look at these stories … All I’m doing is telling the truth.”

Lemon tried to correct Trump’s out-of-context comments, stating the actual premise of the Fusion report. Lemon said, “I’ve read the Washington Post, I’ve read the Fusion [article]. I’ve read the Huffington Post, and that’s about women being raped. It’s not about criminals coming across the border, entering the country.”

Trump brought his racism full circle when he replied, “Somebody’s doing the raping, Don. I mean, somebody’s doing it. Women are being raped. Who’s doing the raping? Who’s doing the raping?”

You don’t have to look any further than Lemon’s uncomfortable silence to realize how ridiculous and out of line Trump’s comments are. Earlier in the interview, but not shown in the segment above, Trump spewed even more puzzling comments. Despite calling Mexican people rapists, drug smugglers and criminals, Trump told Lemon, “I love the Mexican people. I’ve had a great relationship with Mexico.”

Trump continued:

“I am talking about illegal immigration, because it has to be stopped. It is killing our country. People are pouring over the borders. I guess some come from Mexico but they come from all over the world. They come from the Middle East, we don’t even know where they come from.”

Lemon was left nearly speechless by those statements, and had to ask Trump: “Why did you have to say they were rapists?”

I honestly wonder if Mexico feels the same way that Trump does about their relationship now. Just like he did with Macy’s, NBC and Univision, Trump is burning bridges left and right – and it seems that only his own people – conservatives and racists – are standing behind him.
