Mike Huckabee Gets Called Out For Committing Biblical Sin Of Shaving (VIDEO)

Like most candidates for public office, Mike Huckabee shaves. The only problem is that by doing so, Huckabee is committing a biblical sin – and being a hypocrite.

After the Supreme Court ruled same-sex marriage legal across the nation, Huckabee threw a massive hissy fit over the decision and vowed to disobey the high court. The Republican presidential wannabe constantly cites the Bible as the reason why homosexuality should be condemned by law and why same-sex marriage should be banned. And that’s precisely why it’s absolutely hilarious whenever someone calls out Huckabee for being a religious hypocrite, which is what happened during a town hall in Iowa.

Rod Webber attended the town hall in Animosa, Iowa, and took on the conservative “Christian” candidate using biblical verses as his ammunition.

“I’m not really a political person, but I have a bet with a friend. You’re a religious person, a Christian?” Webber asked.

“Absolutely, I’m a believer,” Huckabee responded.

With that, Webber began peppering Huckabee with biblical verses that reveal the former Arkansas governor’s hypocrisy, beginning with a verse that commands us to take care of the poor.

“Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor,” Webber quoted from the Book of Proverbs. Huckabee, of course, claimed people should choose to take care of poor people themselves instead of tasking government to do the job. Huckabee also used the Bible to promote letting poor people starve if they can’t find work.

However, the fact that millions of people across the country are living in poverty is precisely why government is the best way to address the plight of the poor. Through taxation, every American chips in to fund programs such as food stamps, healthcare, jobs programs, and other forms of federal and state aid that help the poor. However, there are some people like Huckabee and his rich buddies who think the poor should be cut off and left to wither and die without a social safety net to catch them. If Huckabee really wanted to help the poor, he’d call for the wealthy to pay higher taxes and would support enacting a living wage that would lift millions of Americans out of poverty so that they wouldn’t need government assistance in the first place.

But the full-bearded Webber also slammed Huckabee’s hypocrisy over homosexuality by pointing out that Huckabee is sinning by shaving his face every day.

Among other “sins” such as eating shellfish, which Huckabee also likely does, the Book of Leviticus says:

“You shall not round off the hair on your temples or mar the edges of your beard.”

Webber also told the bigoted anti-gay Republican that “there’s more passages about shaving being a sin than there is about homosexuality.”

Huckabee feigned ignorance that such verses exist and quickly moved on to address Webber’s other questions. As a former preacher, one would think Huckabee would know more about what’s in the Bible than just a verse or two on homosexuality. But apparently, that’s the only part of the Bible he is obsessed with.

Finally, a person stands up to Huckabee and publicly calls out his religious hypocrisy. You can’t force Biblical law down the throats of every American just to outlaw homosexuality and then ignore all of the other laws listed in the book. That’s what most people would call cherry-picking. And Huckabee is clearly guilty of malicious cherry-picking.
