Husband Of Racist Cop-Defending Mayor Arrested On 30 Counts Indecent Exposure (VIDEO)

The husband of Clatskanie, Oregon mayor Diane Pohl was just caught with his pants down. And we mean that literally. 64-year-old Raymond Pohl was arrested Tuesday, after authorities tracked down a pickup truck which was used in a string of indecent exposure incidents.

According to KOMO News:

“State Police received a tip in early September about a man who was going to a drive-up coffee stand in Clatskanie and exposing himself to female employees. Baristas at the stand said the suspect often used a blue Chevy pickup with a canopy and gave investigators a partial license plate number.”

The investigation led them to the home of Clatskanie mayor Diane Pohl. Her husband was arrested on 30 counts of indecent exposure and is now being held on $30,000 bond.

Mayor Pohl made headlines earlier this month, after publishing an open letter in the local newspaper, praising the town’s racist police chief, Marvin Hoover. As Addicting Info reported on September 7, officers serving under Hoover took their concerns about the police chief’s racist behavior to the Oregon Department of Public Safety.

Officer Dustin Stone’s report included details about some of Hoover’s racist comments. Following an encounter with a Black citizen, for example, Stone wrote that he attempted to speak with Hoover about how the suspect felt.

“I relayed several of the arrestee’s remarks such as, ‘When you look at me, my black and my nappy hair, all you see is animal. Chief Hoover interrupted me and said, ‘That’s what she is.’ “Chief Hoover then began to act like a monkey. Chief Hoover placed his hands in his armpits and began scratching them. Chief Hoover also started making loud monkey sounds.”

Stone went on to describe even more appalling behavior, such as when the police chief beat his arms on his chest like Tarzan, and when he broke out into a chorus of “Dixieland,” while throwing punches in the air.

Since making his concerns known to the state board, Stone and another officer both say they have experienced death threats.

Hoover was placed on administrative leave in August and announced his retirement in early September.

In spite of the fact that Hoover’s disgusting behavior gained national attention, Mayor Pohl published a letter to the editor in the Clatskanie Chief, honoring the racist police chief, and declaring that the public should be “thankful, grateful and appreciative.” She described Hoover as “an honorable man and officer.” In closing, she congratulated him on “a job well done.”

Hoover stepped down from his position as chief of police in early September. Interestingly, that’s about the same time the investigation into the indecent exposure incidents began. Less than two weeks after Hoover’s retirement, the mayor’s husband was charged with 30 counts of indecent exposure.

According to KOIN, one of the victims says that Raymond Pohl has been exposing himself at the drive-thru coffee shop at least twice a week for two years. She even took a picture of him. Yet there was no investigation until shortly after Hoover left the police force.

What are the odds that the racist, now former police chief was keeping Mr. Pohl’s dirty little habits out of the public eye?
