Margaret Cho Is Kicking Ass And Taking Names Against Those Seeking To Destroy Planned Parenthood

With the assault on women’s reproductive rights going at full-steam right now from anti-choice conservatives who claim to be “pro-life,” many are speaking out and standing up against these wrongful attacks aimed at Planned Parenthood. Among those who are standing up against these people who seek to strip access to affordable community healthcare are some of Hollywood’s elite, alongside many in the music industry and beyond.

One of the most active voices on Twitter right now supporting Planned Parenthood is comedian and actress Margaret Cho. She’s taken to the front-lines of this outright assault on women, and she’s showing no sign of letting up any time soon.

Cho, alongside Martha Plimton, have lit up Twitter and are letting people know how destructive these attacks are on Planned Parenthood.

To be honest, there’s really no other reason than pure hatred of women and their intelligence to choose what is best for themselves and their bodies. Being “anti-abortion” is a clever way of saying, “women can’t make the right decisions for their bodies.” And calling oneself “pro-life” is pretty much a lie, especially if they support the death penalty, cutting welfare to the poor and support endless wars of choice that are purely for the sake of oil profit.

Following Cho on Twitter has been a sight to behold. Her female empowerment is contagious, and watching her lift up others while tearing down those who hate is, quite honestly, magnificent.

There are so many tweets of Cho’s to choose from that it’s hard to pick a few, so if you’re interested in reading all of them visit her Twitter feed, found HERE. However, here are a few that stood out:

And the pièce de résistance:

You really can’t get a more perfect response than that.

Cho knows who she is, what she stands for and who she stands up for. That, in and of itself, is powerful. So powerful. Especially when dealing with conservatives who are strongly opposed to women capable of thinking for themselves.

There were several other celebrities who took to Twitter to show their support of Planned Parenthood as well:

And, of course, Hillary and Bernie showed their support:

The most important thing to remember is that it is a woman’s legal right to choose what to do with her own body. It is also extraordinarily important to remember that Planned Parenthood is SOOO much more than just abortions. In fact, only three percent of the services they provide are abortion-based, and currently, due to the Hyde Amendment, no federal funding can be used for abortion.

Planned Parenthood is an integral part of overall community health.

Thank you, Margaret Cho, and thank you to ALL who continually support Planned Parenthood and fight for women’s rights. It is a seemingly never-ending battle, but with people like Cho, we are up for the fight. We will not give in, and we will prevail!
