Mike Huckabee Wants Obama To Cancel Iran Deal, Close Borders Because ISIS Attacked Paris (SCREENSHOTS)

Shortly after the bloody terrorist attacks in Paris that left more than 120 dead and 200 wounded, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani spoke out, offering his thoughts and prayers to the citizens of France. Tweeting to French President Francois Hollande, Rouhani explained early Saturday that “on behalf of great nation of Iran who’s suffered evils of terrorism,” he condemns the horrific attacks.

Rouhani joined Muslims worldwide in speaking out against the actions of the ISIS. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossein Jaber Ansari explained that the extremist death cult does not “believe in ethical principles” and is “not loyal to any type of divine religions — including Islam.” But if you ask Mike Huckabee, Iran is the enemy, and these attacks — which were not committed by or on behalf of Iran — are proof positive that the nuclear peace deal was a terrible idea. In a lengthy statement, Huckabee eagerly promoted the closing of the United States’ borders, suggested that we keep Guantanamo Bay open, and (of course) repeated his assertion that Obama needs to cancel the nuclear deal…because it’s a day that ends in “day.”

“We are clearly not dealing with leashed animals or with a JV team. We’re dealing with a threat to western civilization,” Huckabee fear-mongered. He says he was correct that his opposition to taking in Syrian refugees who were fleeing ISIS was vindicated by the terrorist state’s attack on a nation that was harboring those who attempted to escape its clutches.

Since he clearly has no understanding of the situation past the fact that he doesn’t much like Muslims or brown people, Huckabee suggested that President Obama keep Guantanamo Bay open — and “close our borders instead.” In addition, he says that the United States should stop accepting refugees from countries with a strong presence of ISIS or Al Qaeda, go to war, and (of course) “revoke any agreement with Iran regarding their nuclear capacity.” In addition, Huckabee says that we should adopt an “Us Versus Them” mentality with the rest of the world, forming an extermination force and casting out anyone who refuses to participate in what would surely be a witch hunt.

“Radical Islamists, whether Sunni or Shia, are a clear and present danger to civilization,” Huckabee said. Of course, the presidential hopeful’s bigoted and brain-dead followers loved his ideas. They also really hate Obama:

The attacks in Paris were tragic, unforgivable, and a reminder that religious extremism is extremely dangerous. Few would argue that ISIS is not a threat that must be dealt with. But Huckabee’s nonsensical desire to pretend that all Muslims are responsible for the actions of a few — that states with Muslim leadership are guilty because they share the same religion as the attackers — is a disservice to not only his fellow “Christians” but to humanity as a whole. In fact, the intolerance displayed by conservatives in the wake of these acts of terrorism is reminiscent of those Huckabee is choosing to demonize.

It’s very easy to fall into a “kill them all” mindset after a tragedy. Unfortunately, conservatives aren’t much for rational thought or facts, so we can probably expect them to continue taking the easy route.
