Marco Rubio Panders To Israel By Insulting President Obama In New Campaign Ad (VIDEO)

Ladies and gentleman, the pandering for lobby money is officially on the airwaves. In a new ad, Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio says that President Barack Obama spies on Israel. With all of the problems the country is facing, Rubio decides to mention Israel, a foreign country that receives billions of dollars a year in military aid to continue the ongoing  illegal occupation of the Palestinian people. Why would Marco Rubio spend millions of dollars on an ad to mention a foreign country thousands of miles away?

The answer lies in the money Rubio stands to receive from pro-Israel lobby groups like the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), an organization that can make or break a political campaign with its enormous organization and wealth. In an article published by Professors Mearsheimer and Walt, they state:

“AIPAC’s success is due to its ability to reward legislators and congressional candidates who support its agenda and to punish those who challenge it. Money is critical to U.S. elections.”
There are single donors with pro-Israel agendas as well. Take for example billionaire Norman Braman. He is Rubio’s largest campaign donor with an estimated $10-25 million. Braman is staunchly pro-Israel, funding an Israeli settlement in Occupied Palestine. Settlements are illegal under international law and are in contradiction to US foreign policy in the region.
If the United States spies on Israel, it’s because Israel spies on the United States. In a leaked NSA document, Israel was singled out as a top espionage threat against the US government. The country was listed as a leading perpetrator of:
“Espionage/intelligence collection operations and manipulation/influence operations…against U.S. government, military, science & technology and Intelligence Community.”
The most infamous case was that of American Navy worker Jonathon Pollard, who passed on thousands of secrets to Israeli intelligence, endangering American national security. Estimates of deaths caused by Pollard’s spying are between 110-120 American CIA agents and up to 1,600 foreign agents that were American assets. He was released from prison last year but even the crazy Donald Rumsfeld urged that Pollard remain in prison for the damage he caused to the United States.
Rubio is being funded by organizations and individuals working on behalf of a foreign country. Israel’s and America’s interests are not mutually exclusive. Yet, Rubio is willing to work for the interests of a foreign country by attacking the president of his own country to fill his campaign coffers.
