Amy Manuel is a Democratic political activist, and served as a delegate to the 2008 Democratic National Convention, as well as the past four Texas Democratic Conventions. She is a former progressive talk radio host. She co-hosted The Rational Radio Report with Jack Bishop and Rich Hancock on 2009 on AM 1360 Rational Radio in Dallas. Amy is an active supporter of her community, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, Keep Denton Beautiful, and Friends of the Family. She is an avid supporter of the fine and performing arts. As such, she was appointed by the city of The Colony to the Cultural Arts Board and currently serves on the Greater Denton Arts Council. Amy holds a degree in Dance Education with a minor in Music from Lamar University, and taught dance for many years. She also taught music in the Sunday schools of Temple Emanuel in Beaumont and Dallas, Ner Tamid in Carrollton, TX, and Adat Chaverim in Plano. Above Amy Manuel is dedicated to equality for all and making this world a better place to live.
