The Supreme Court is giving Davis an opportunity to challenge his conviction on the grounds that seven of the witnesses against him have since recanted their testimony against him. But Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas disagree with the majority decision of their colleagues. Justice Scalia doesn’t seem to have a problem with executing innocent people because he believes that it is NOT unconstitutional.

Once again, Republicans are putting the Christian Right Wing agenda first, instead of working on creating jobs that Americans desperately need. Joe ‘You Lie!’ Wilson and Buck McKeon sent a letter to Leon Panetta asking to delay lifting ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ because they claim they haven’t received copies of the new regulations that will take effect after the policy is repealed.

It’s so stupid that it can’t be true, right? Well, it is true. Fox News has hit a new low. In another desperate attempt to criticize anything the President does, the folks on Fox and Friends yesterday morning criticized President Obama for using a binder clip on his copy of the American Jobs Act plan he held in his hand during a speech outside the White House. Apparently, it wasn’t fancy enough for them.

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY)

Rand Paul has once again stuck his foot in his mouth. Despite the fact that Americans are falling into poverty in record numbers, Senator Paul, son of Ron Paul, says that the poor are getting rich. He also claimed that there is no correlation between poverty and death and that to claim that there was such a connection is nothing more than ‘socialism’ and ‘tyranny.’

Now it’s clear. Republicans are holding back on passing bills to help the country until a new President is elected. It’s all about holding the general welfare of the nation hostage. Republican Steve King of Iowa has admitted as much in a new statement made in the wake of President Obama introducing the American Jobs Act.

The fact is, there is not much difference in these cases. Either way, government is forcing a certain group of people to do something that they may not want to do. This exchange between the candidates is a fantastic example of the hypocrisy of the right wing. You can’t complain about government taking away choice, and then turn around and advocate taking away someone’s choice. But that’s exactly what Republicans want to do.
