Yesterday, Paul Ryan told conservative radio show host Laura Ingraham that he agrees with Rick Perry that Social Security is a ‘ponzi scheme.’ When asked whether Social Security is a Ponzi scheme, Ryan told the conservative radio show ‘That is how those schemes work.’
It’s a campaign called ‘Occupy Wall Street’ and thousands of ordinary Americans have shown up to protest America’s greedy and fraudulent financial system. But where’s the media coverage?
The Supreme Court is giving Davis an opportunity to challenge his conviction on the grounds that seven of the witnesses against him have since recanted their testimony against him. But Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas disagree with the majority decision of their colleagues. Justice Scalia doesn’t seem to have a problem with executing innocent people because he believes that it is NOT unconstitutional.

Republicans rejected the one tax cut that can actually give some financial relief to middle class Americans. A payroll tax cut almost exclusively benefits middle class and poor Americans because it puts immediate cash back in their wallets which they spend on things they need the money for such as bills, food, etc
Representative Louie Gohmert has a jobs plan. Well, he has a plan anyway. Gohmert says his bill will create jobs. If we were in a dream world, perhaps. One thing Gohmert’s bill will do, is completely eliminate the corporate tax rate.
Newt Gingrich is another Republican who revels in bashing the poor. Gingrich told Wolf Blitzer on CNN that the uninsured should receive health care from charitable organizations and not government.

The fact is, there is not much difference in these cases. Either way, government is forcing a certain group of people to do something that they may not want to do. This exchange between the candidates is a fantastic example of the hypocrisy of the right wing. You can’t complain about government taking away choice, and then turn around and advocate taking away someone’s choice. But that’s exactly what Republicans want to do.
