Herman Cain is obviously buoyed by his rise among one very sad group of candidate for the GOP presidential nomination.Candidate Cain has stated to a documented racist, that, ‘[Obama's] never been a part of the black experience in America,’ Cain spoke the comment to Neal Boritz who next to Rush Limbaugh is without a doubt a ‘second tier’ racist.
This is THE sociological case study of our times! Will racial animosity overcome religious intolerance? I can’t WAIT to find out!
A surge of re-energized American citizens positioned in cities across the country are carrying out the grassroots ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement (or the ’99 Percent Movement’) with an intelligent and provoking agenda that invokes real patriotic citizenship – much unlike the backwards Tea Party protests that have done little more than pervert our founding ideals while hidden under the guise of Americanism.
What do you call a person who’s something that he says he’s not? Well, you wouldn’t be far from right if you said, ‘Bill Maher,’ because he’s made being what he says he’s not a fine art.
In 2008 the African-American vote coupled with majorities in other voting blocks led to the election of Barack Obama. The African American vote, while solidly for candidate Obama could not, and did not, carry the election. The numbers just do not add-up that 96% of African-American voters could carry the election for either set of candidates.
In the light of everything going on with the Wall Street protests, the economy, etc., there is another issue, admittedly smaller, that needs addressing. The American university system, despite the high quality of education you can achieve, is a scam.
Everyone comes out in their own way. Sometimes by choice, sometimes by being dragged out.
Finally someone went into the Occupy Wall Street protesters and conducted a survey. The person who conducted the survey admits that his work was is in no way a scientifically valid sampling of respondents. Yet, he feels the data gathered from 50 respondents yielded enough information to dispel criticism that the OWS protesters have a lack of vision, specific demands, and suffer from a disparity of beliefs and goals.
Forget about Republican or Democratic ideologies and just look at the facts of where things stand in this country right now. The richest 0.1 % of Americans own more wealth than the lower 50% combined. The richest 5% has more wealth than the lower 90% combined. And 20% of Americans own over 85% of the country’s total wealth.
The talking heads on T.V. cannot seem to embrace the fact that this protest, the Occupying going on all around America, has no specific agenda. It appears that, somehow, they have missed the point.

Instead of dressing up like morbidly obese founding fathers and screaming about their leader being born in Kenya and some covert Muslim Socialist, the people of Iceland actually rose up against the overwhelming tide of corporate greed and deception and reclaimed their country.
We already have heard false statements by so called ‘experts’ about how this protest is leaderless, unorganized and nothing but a bunch of 20 something whites suburbanites who are spoiled and have nothing better to do. Sound familiar? It should if you are a baby boomer in the streets of the 1960’s and 1970’s fighting peacefully to end American racial inequality and an unjust war.
Since September 17th, thousands upon thousands of peaceful protesters have lined up on Wall Street to protest corporate greed, predatory banking practices, and a political structure that provides cover for white-collar criminals. The protesters have endured needless police brutality, thousands of senseless arrests, and being mocked in the corporate-owned mainstream news media.
The Occupy Wall Street Movement is an inevitable reaction of people in this country to the gross income disparity that currently exists as a result of our broken government and its corrupt relationship with corporate entities. While the movement is gaining tremendous support it still lacks the leadership and coherency to be effective. However, many of the most successful movements in this country started just this way. In fact, they pretty much all did.
I don’t particularly care if the Occupy Wall Street protests spark a battle between the left and the right – we’re used to battles between the left and the right . . . except, this time, I’m not exactly sure how that battle will end. From what I’m seeing, and hearing, the movement’s singular lack of focus and leadership (though touted by the protesters as one of its charms) is likely to open a chasm into which Republicans can step and effectively apply their spin.
Day 21, or 22 (by some accounts ) saw continued proliferation of OWS across international borders. The protest marches in Washington, D.C. apparently included a few cases of police pepper spraying marchers.
As the so-called ‘Ground Zero mosque,’ which is actually an Islamic cultural center, recently held its first activities on September 21st of 2011, it symbolizes everything that is right about America and everything that is wrong within America. Speaking as an American citizen, it is very satisfying to witness the wheels of American justice begrudgingly being forced to grind in the direction of the same equality that so many of us love to stand up for, place our right hands over our hearts for, sing along to, and make into our representation of freedom, courage and justice for all.
