People want the President to address this head on, but he’s in a peculiar position in that, if he did, certain people from both extremes would accuse him of playing the race card. In short, he has to stay above all that because – well, because he’s the President.

Conservative reaction to Occupy Wall Street (OWS) does not fail. What is amazing is the scourge from the Right is only now just starting. Their party, elected leaders, and sycophants have been relatively quiet. The OWS is four weeks into their grass-roots protest. Negative comments this week have increased like a newly coined GOP talking point.

Main stream media is intent on framing the death of Steve Jobs as the uber hero of modern computer technology. We (you) … ”are very sad at the profound loss of Steve Jobs” to our (your) psyche. Hop on our grieving gravy train and we can get through this together. Let the tears flow for the “hands on man at Apple who died too young, Steve Jobs.” Cut to commercial.

If that video does not anger you about the 99% and the 1 %, you should not bother to read further.

First, the good news. The September jobs’ report wasn’t nearly as bleak as some were expecting. The private sector added 137,000 jobs, with the public sector losing 34,000. That’s a net gain of 103,000 jobs.

As I started my quick run through of morning New shows, I was completely brought to ‘alert’ by something that is nothing shy of intriguing. CNN reported that the job numbers for July and August 2011 have been adjusted to reflect higher numbers. (the previous link include actual jobs data for July, August and September).

Sarah Palin is Busted…by Jon Stewart…big time!! He put the screws on Sistah Sarah and her best money making scheme yet; SarahPAC. Those who missed Jon’s show Thursday night, October 6th can see it below.

It’s a movement that is growing by the minute. Millions of Americans across the nation have decided that now is the time to revolt against the greed of Wall Street.

Last month, the hanging suicide of Jamey Rodemayer- a 14-year old boy from Buffalo, NY who had been taunted and bullied since grade school by homophobic classmates, left yet another deep scar in the ongoing cultural and social debasement affecting the LGBT community.

Reports are showing that yesterday’s protest march was the largest ever. Unions have joined the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protesters and Van Jones’s ‘Rebuild the Dream’ (hopeful alternative to the Tea Party) seems to be moving closer to some sort of affiliation.
‘Contempt for happiness is usually contempt for other people’s happiness, and is an elegant disguise for hatred of the human race’ – Bertrand Russell

America is supposed to be the land of opportunity, and it is, but where the bulk of those opportunities go and who they have traditionally gone to in the past is not as much about the home of the free and the land of the brave as one might be inclined to patriotically believe.

As an African-American, I often hear African-American Republicans lament about how the Democratic Party has used our community. The nation recently heard Herman ‘Citizen’ Cain label the Black Community as 3/4 or 2/3 ‘brainwashed by the Democrats.’ I often see African American (highly paid) GOP operatives and pundits speak about their lack of understanding how the Black Community could solidly vote for Democratic tickets.

It appears that labor has decided to join the Occupy Walls Street protest. If you recall labor joined with Wisconsin protests as that state’s shifty governor accompanied the GOP moneyed supporters bidding by dismantling public service unions.

The Obama Administration decided to pass up an opportunity to appeal the decision of the 11th Circuit court judges ruling the individual mandate as stated in the Affordable Health Care for America Act (Obamacare) as unconstitutional. Due to the fact that judges from the 6th Circuit court issued a separate ruling to uphold the bill as constitutional, the case will likely be subject to a Supreme Court hearing just months before the 2012 election.

That is what this protest is all about. It’s about the big banks taking taxpayer bailouts then refusing to give loans to individuals and small businesses. It’s about major corporations taking taxpayer bailouts then giving themselves big bonuses. It’s about the mortgage and foreclosure crises, companies who are laying off thousands of employees to keep their profit-margins up, gas prices, oil industry profits, income inequality, climate change and corporate outsourcing, tax-avoidance, loopholes and greed.

So now historian fraud, David Barton, is suing two former candidates for the Texas Schoolboard and writer W.S. Smith for defamation of character over videos on Youtube attacking his historical perspective.
