Explaining is not the answer. Moral middle class policies, the ones being attempted by the President with pressure from the grassroots, are.

Many Americans today tend to take the past for granted, and with that, we also tend to take the words of past leaders for granted. We forget what they told us, and as a result we lose our identity, we lose the values that make us who we are. Below is a list of quotes spoken by American leaders, heroes, journalists, and others.

The Occupy Wall Street protesters have been standing against the big banks for a few months now. They are protesting the greed, irresponsibility, and fraud that banks like Bank of America, Citigroup, and JPMorgan Chase commit on a daily basis. The big banks of Wall Street caused an economic collapse.

Liberals get a bad rap from conservatives for over-spending and from their own party for not achieving enough. Yet, where would we be without liberals? The answer is too dire to ponder. If you’re proud to be a liberal or Democrat, please pass on this ode of appreciation.

Based on the limited conversations I have overheard in truckstop diners, auto service center waiting rooms, and gas station checkout lines, this is what Occupy’s message sounds like to my neighbors, ‘wealth is bad. It has often been said that FDR saved capitalism from itself. What that means is that he took office at the lowest depths of the Great Depression, when it was clear that rampant uncontrolled capitalism had not only failed to benefit the more than one-third of Americans were ill-housed, ill-clothed, and ill-fed, but had also collapsed on itself due to the uncontrolled excesses that unregulated free markets had created.

Good news continues to mount on the economy. Third quarter profits were up 16% from last year’s third quarter numbers and the stock market is having its best run in God knows when. Yep, things are really looking bleak these days, for the doomsayers, that is.

In our day these economic truths have become accepted as self-evident. We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all—regardless of station, race, or creed.

…It is well known that the Ryan Budget Proposal will have a real and negative affect in devastating the middle class, on whose backs the recovery is built and depends on. The hypocrisy…and no surprise… is that Paul Ryan is also a recipient of the same Social Security program he now wants to destroy…
