While Republicans continue to call for the U.S. to ‘DRILL BABY DRILL’ the tangled web of BP’s lies and deceit are finally brought to light and it is disturbing.
The incident came on the heels of a BP settlement agreement to pay out $4.5 billion in penalties related to the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
Al Jazeera reports that after almost two years, the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico is still causing devastation to commercial fishing. Fisherman like Greg Perez have seen their business and way of life drastically affected, and in some cases they have had to give up completely.
Earlier today, I published an article that said a Mississippi state Rep. introduced a bill proposing to rename the Gulf of Mexico the ‘Gulf of America.’ I was wrong. It was satire.
But, as long as we’re changing names to be more ‘American’ sounding, I’ll put forth a few suggestions of other names that should be changed.
