Military Spending – The Intelligent Way

The Department of Defense spent about $721 BILLION in fiscal 2011, of which approximately $159 billion was slated for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. When you include Homeland Security and numerous operations that are supposed to be keeping us safe, this equals to nearly 50% of America’s annual spending budget.
