Any informed viewer watching CNN in America is well aware that they are no longer getting in depth news, but a shallow interpretation of news through the lens of corporate refracting.

The main stream media couldn’t care less that the U.S. Senate unanimously rejected cuts to Social Security via the ‘chained CPI.’ But WE should care for the following five reasons …

How often do the mainstream media misinform or outright lie? How many of them apologize or correct the record for the misinformation and lies?

Perhaps if more people would put things in perspective, news could focus on informing instead of entertaining – educating instead of distracting.

The paradigm shift of a less centralized media is the only solution to a negligent mainstream media. Luckily that realization is starting to bear fruit.

As most liberals know, the claim that the mainstream media has a liberal bias is a myth. There’s probably no greater proof of that than CNN, a cable network that was at one time arguably balanced, but has since become another tool of corporate America.

The Romney campaign has decided that their candidate should not have to answer questions he may not like.

It turns out that the apology was nothing more than a shameless attempt to take control of all the damage wrought to Komen.

NBC’s Chuck Todd, best know as ‘not Tim Russert,’ criticized Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert for their publicized attempts to expose the inequities of post-Citizens United campaign laws.

It seems like ages ago when I posted a piece regarding the Occupy Wall Street protestor who not only handed Fox News its ass on a silver platter, but had them scratching their heads as they remained puzzled about whether they should ask for seconds.

As if this has never happened before in New York City, a man allegedly defecated on a cop car. What makes this specific incident different from any other day in Manhattan is that there also happens to be a pretty big protest going on. The target of the protest? Wall Street.

A Fox News interviewer tried to catch a protester off-guard with his question, and ended up getting caught off-guard himself.
