The people that cry the loudest about government waste always seem to be the ones wasting the most.

Despite having been proven uniquely vulnerable to tampering, digital voting machines continue to replace older, but more secure, optical machines.

Privatizing eduction has been a cornerstone of the Republican platform for decades. Privatization of virtually everything has been a cornerstone of the Koch brothers and ALEC led Wisconsin Republican leadership since their election in 2010. So, it was no surprise when this conversation between four GOP state Legislators was overheard the night before the State of the State address.

Assembly Bill 426 allows mining companies to use land in Wisconsin with very little regulation.

This week Wisconsin showed just how much they love Stephen Colbert, by voting for him as the preferred primary challenger to Scott Walker.

That Scott Walker was even pretending to honor Dr. King is way beyond hypocritical, it is downright insulting.

It was November 15, 2011, a day that I will never forget. It was night-time and we were all waiting until midnight so we could start signing recall petitions. The recall had officially started and it was not going to be an easy task. We had two months to collect over 540,000 valid signatures.

Timothy Russell, who is considered by all who know Scott Walker to be in his inner circle, allegedly embezzled funds. According to Investigator Robert Stelter with the Milwaukee County District Attorneys Office, Timothy then used the money to buy or renew some campaign domain names.

Three of Scott Walkers friends were arrested and that charges would be announced later in the day. Sure enough, as the day went on and I learned more and more, it became clear this was a major story.

Representative Nass decided to throw out the Constitution and, as recently as October, has even had people removed for holding signs silently. His committee meeting was today and I’m waiting to get arrested on the orders of Nass.

17 days left to collect about 32,000 signatures for the Scott Walker recall – and activists in Wisconsin have already collected 507,000 signatures in less than a month. 28 days, to be exact. That’s over 18,000 signatures a day, roughly 750 signatures an hour, every hour. Hated much, Walker?

The motel has a Gumby-like character welcoming guests to the Four Winds Motel and currently appearing on the marquee below this colorful sign is the aforementioned shout out to the recall effort of Governor Walker.

OK, so we were optimistic about the demise of Operation Burn Notice. They were able to scrub all the copyrighted images that I owned and Facebook allowed them back online.

Tom Parent, one of the original members of the Facebook page known as Operation Burn Notice, broke the news to his heartbroken fans.
‘It is with deep sorrow that I have to announce that Operation Burn Notice has been killed by a bunch of liberal whiners. I guess free speech only applies to liberals. RIP OBN!! We will all miss you!’

I agree with this ‘Person of the Year’ choice. But as I read the story and the attached sub articles, I realized something shocking. The article moves from the revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt, Greece, Spain, and elsewhere overseas to Occupy Wall Street. Unfortunately, in this they missed a key piece of the pie making this story unable to be considered on ‘The Protester’ and more on ‘Selected bits and pieces of the protests.’

How do FREEDOM! loving conservatives square their worship of the Holy Constitution with their ongoing efforts to undermine the very foundations of democracy?
