In a callous and yet unexpected move, Senate Republicans unanimously voted against saving the jobs of 400,000 policemen, firefighters, and teachers. The legislation had been the key piece of President Obama’s American Jobs Act and was one of the most popular pieces of the legislation.
Harry Reid brought that individual piece of the bill to the floor yesterday in hopes that Republicans would find their souls and actually pass the bill. Earlier this month, Republicans rejected the entire American Jobs Act, continuing their effort to collapse the economy and make President Obama fail. If Senate Republicans had helped pass this crucial part of the bill, almost half a million jobs would have been saved. But Republicans blocked the bill because it would have been paid for with a tax of half of 1% on millionaires. President Obama commented on the blocking of the bill.

Stop drinking the KOOL-AID, (D)’s had both houses, & exec. branch and still didn’t get a budget pasted, spare us your great wisdom of govt. Moros? Check you facts pal. Jobs bill is a propaganda bill. It will help no-one in pvt industry, it’s only another union pay back. The bill was CRAP on arrival, no wonder half the Senate won’t passed it, including a few Dumbo-crats zombies that wised up. BUT they will never Report the TRUTH about the vote or the bill!
The Senate is Controlled by the Dumbascraps, IF they had all voted for the bill it would have passed. End of Story.
They did not.
Therefore it’s the Dumbascraps who killed the bill genius.
Not the Republicans who are the minority and could not have stopped the bill’s passage.
If you want to lie about things at least make a lie that’s hard to refute with simple facts.
If you conservatives understood government anywhere near as much as you pretend you, you’d understand that the Democrats do not have a supermajority and therefore cannot pass any legislation on their votes alone.
You people are the scum of the Earth, simple distorting/making up facts to suit your propaganda needs.
