Oooookaaaayyyy… I’m used to seeing that kind of language on Facebook pages and the emails my Beckhead father-in-law occasionally sends me, but on Fox? Not so much. They usually go for at least a little bit more subtlety when making racist comments such as “uppity”, “boy” and “man-child” but “ghetto crackhead”? Yowzer!
Thursday night, Brent Bozell, head of the Media Research Center, a Right Wing version of Media Matters that reinforces the fake “liberal media bias” trope, was responding to a short clip of MSNBC’s Chris Matthews saying that Newt Gingrich looks like a “car bomber”:
“How long do you think Sean Hannity’s show would last if four times in one sentence, he made a comment about, say, the President of the United States, and said that he looked like a skinny, ghetto crackhead?Which, by the way, you might want to say that Barack Obama does.” (emphasis mine)
Now, I don’t know what Matthews was talking about and the clip is very short so I have a feeling there is some context missing there. Newt may be a hypocritical lying pig but he certainly doesn’t strike me as looking like a car bomber. So I can understand the irritation coming from a guest on Fox, notorious for its low tolerance for even the tiniest slight against a conservative. If Bozell had stopped at “skinny, ghetto crackhead” as just an example of something nasty a conservative could say and get raked over the coals for it, this would not even be a story.
But he didn’t. He just had to toss in that last bit:
“Which, by the way, you might want to say that Barack Obama does.”

And there it is. No longer a crass, but arguably appropriate, comparison but an actual statement of how Bozell sees our president. Dripping racism from a purported “America’s Media Watchdog”? Check. No doubt this obvious bias against a successful, intelligent and in annoyingly good shape black president doesn’t influence Mr. Bozell’s “research” at all. Here’s our opportunity to put Bozell’s hypothesis to the test. Now that he has openly called the president a skinny ghetto crackhead on Fox, will it damage his reputation among the Right in any way, shape or form? Will he be banned from Fox News? Will he be forced to apologize? Or will the Right leap to his defense?
Can you guess what I think will happen? I’ll just bet you can…

Seriously, his entire career has been 3 decades of expanding his mind by sitting on his fat ass at various Conservative Think Tanks coming up with new ways to blame Liberals for all the fuck-ups by Conservatives. Bozell is one of those right-wing shills who blames Bill Clinton for 9/11 even if it inconveniently happened while George W. Bush was President and whines that George W. Bush got no credit for killing Osama Bin Laden even if it inconveniently happened when Barack Obama was President.
Bigot Bozell is yet another flabby jowled, wide assed, big bellied slob (i.e. A Conservative) who feels empowered to be as racist as possible because he thinks it’s going to win elections for Republicons.
Again how many incidents will it take for conservatives to realize the Modern Conservative movement is little more than a club for bigots and racists?
Fox News is not a American Owned company, That is why they say and do whatever they want. They enjoy the free of the press, so we have to live with it. But rest assured that we the people know the truth and we will not be denied. Our President is in better shape the one who call him a crackhead. And how does he know what a crackhead looks like.

Calling Gingrich a “car-bomber” is not racist or viscerally offensive on a socio-ethnic level. Even if it were; Matthews himself is Irish, and self-deprecation is decidedly acceptable in American society.
My father raised me a non-violent person, but if someone said something like this about our president to my face, I would take out at least two of his teeth.
