Supposedly smart conservative columnist, George Will, has a truly deep and insightful prediction for you. The man who doesn’t believe in climate change yet still gets paid decent coin thinks that Romney will lose to Obama not because he is a conniving, unctuous timeshare salesmen; not because he has absolutely no foreign policy experience or laid out any sensible policies; and not because he’s a vulture capitalist with no core and who writes off half of America, but because Obama is black and America just can’t let a black president fail. Apparently Will has never heard of the tea party.
From Think Progress:
After dismissing Obama’s record as being obviously “in shambles,” Will suggested that Americans were supporting him only because they didn’t want to see a black president fail, writing that “the nation, which is generally reluctant to declare a president a failure — thereby admitting that it made a mistake in choosing him — seems especially reluctant not to give up on the first African American president. If so, the 2012 election speaks well of the nation’s heart, if not its head.” Credible academic estimates suggest Obama lost a net 3 to 5 percent of the national vote in 2008 as a consequence of his race.
Again, this man is generously paid to offer his opinions.
I think it’s time for George Will to switch to sports or even horoscopes since he so obviously doesn’t understand politics.
