Here’s A Roundup Of All The Companies That Fired Donald Trump Since He Came Out As Racist

In the wake of Donald Trump’s bizarre presidential campaign announcement in which he made racist comments about Mexican immigrants, businesses have been responding left and right by hitting Trump where it hurts — his wallet. The GOP candidate is literally losing millions of dollars since major companies have cut off their business relationships with him, and it’s hilarious. It turns out, very few people thought Trump’s statements that immigrants “are bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they are rapists” to America should fly.

Trump hasn’t backed down from those comments – in fact, he’s only doubled down with more racism. In response, here are the companies that dumped this Republican racist:

1. Univision

Univision, America’s biggest Hispanic broadcaster, was the first to stand up to “The Donald” after his anti-immigrant rant. The company refused to air Trump’s Miss USA pageant or any additional projects by the Trump Organization. Trump was infuriated with Univision, and in turn filed a $500 million lawsuit, which Univision called “factually false ” and “legally ridiculous.” Trump also blamed Hillary Clinton for his fallout with the broadcaster.

2. Televisa

After Univision pulled away from Trump, Mexico-based broadcaster Televisa dumped Trump, saying that the business mogul “hasn’t demonstrated understanding or respect toward Mexican migrants and has offended the entire Mexican population.” Owner of Mexico’s equivalent to Trump’s Miss USA pageant, Televisa also stated that they wouldn’t be sending anyone to compete in Trump’s Miss Universe.

3. Farouk Systems

Houston-based Farouk Systems Inc, owner of hair care brands such as CHI and BioSilk, announced that they would no longer be doing business with Trump. The company released a statement that said it would be withdrawing sponsorship from the Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageants, which Trump partially owns. The statement read:

“Our company is multicultural with people of Latin American descent making up a large percentage of our employees and loyal customers. As a company proudly founded on the concept of coming to the USA in pursuit of the American Dream, Mr. Trump’s comments do not and will never reflect our company’s philosophy or practices.”

4. NBC

Having worked with Trump for his Miss Universe pageant and his reality TV show The Apprentice, the network bid Trump adieu following his comments. In a statement, the company explained:

“Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump.”

Trump has also threatened to take NBC to court, saying:

“If NBC is so weak and so foolish to not understand the serious illegal immigration problem in the United States, coupled with the horrendous and unfair trade deals we are making with Mexico, then their contract violating closure of Miss Universe/Miss USA will be determined in court.”

5. 5 Rabbit Cerveceria

Chicago-area microbrewery 5 Rabbit Cerveceria has been serving its house beer at a restaurant in Chicago’s Trump Tower for the last few months. This business tie quickly came to a halt after Trump insulted Latinos. The owners of the microbrewery, who are Latin-American, said in a statement:

“We would be doing an injustice to the community we serve (and live in) by engaging in business with someone who does not accept our role in society and expresses a rhetoric of hate and ignorance towards us.

On a personal level, if I did, one of the things that scares me the most is sending the wrong message to my daughters. We are active members of this immigrant community and we need to stand up for ourselves, and more importantly, for those who do not have the voice or means to do so. The very foundation of the United States of America was built on acceptance and inclusion.  That is what drew us here, and that´s what why we feel so strongly about this.

As a company, an integral part of our vision reads that we are ‘not only based in, but also look to promote a strong and positive image of Latin America, its heritage and people.’

It would be hypocritical of us to sustain the relationship.”

6. Macy’s

Yet another huge company backed away from Trump. Macy’s, one of America’s largest retailers, put the brakes on their years-long relationship with the Republican candidate. The company said:

“We do not believe the disparaging characterizations portray an accurate picture of the many Mexicans, Mexican Americans and Latinos who have made so many valuable contributions to the success of our nation. In light of statements made by Donald Trump, which are inconsistent with Macy’s values, we have decided to discontinue our business relationship with Mr. Trump and will phase-out the Trump menswear collection, which has been sold at Macy’s since 2004.”

Trump, never willing to take a hit lying down, lied and said it was actually HIS idea to terminate the relationship with Macy’s. He said:

“Clearly, NBC and Macy’s support illegal immigration, which is totally detrimental to the fabric of our once great country. Both Macy’s and NBC totally caved at the first sight of potential difficulty with special interest groups who are nothing more than professional agitators, who are not looking out for the people they purport to represent, but only for themselves. It is people like this that are actually running our country because our leaders are weak and ineffective.”

Bitter much?

Without a doubt, there’s going to be more to add to this list soon, as Trump stands firm behind his racist comments and continues to make polarizing statements. He is literally making the Republican party a joke. Even New York City – where the Trump Organization has its roots – is starting to reconsider its relationship with Trump! Just check out this statement from Mayor Bill de Blasio:

“We are reviewing Trump contracts with the City. Donald Trump’s remarks were disgusting and offensive, and this hateful language has no place in our city. Trump’s comments do not represent the values of inclusion and openness that define us as New Yorkers. Our Mexican brothers and sisters make up an essential part of this city’s vibrant and diverse community, and we will continue to celebrate and support New Yorkers of every background.”

Keep burning those bridges, Trump, and you’ll have nothing left!
