‘Pharma Bro’ Martin Shkreli Tweets Fake Wrist Injury, Gets Owned By Internet (SCREENSHOTS)

The infamous “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli was definitely feeling the Bern on Sunday evening, as Bernie Sanders supporters took to Twitter to troll the living crap out of him — culminating in the greedy drug company CEO tweeting out a fake injury and being subsequently devoured by the internet.

Shkreli became the poster child of big pharmaceutical greed after raising the price of an important drug used to treat issues related to AIDS and cancer by 5,500%. The massive price gauge caused internet fury and backlash at a level perhaps only before felt by the dentist who killed Cecil the Lion.

On Sunday, the rapacious CEO once again became a major topic of discussion in several Facebook groups dedicated to supporting Sanders — as last week the presidential candidate rejected a donation from Shkreli and passed it on to a Washington DC community health center specializing in HIV/AIDS care.

In response to Sanders’ rejection of his money, Shkreli has been having a massive temper tantrum on Twitter.  His anger lead some of the candidate’s supporters heading to Twitter to engage in a bit of Sunday night trolling.

Following a flood of Tweets from Sanders supporters, Shkreli decided to take things up a notch:

After tweeting that he wanted to a punch a wall, the internet responded just as wonderfully as you would expect:

Hundreds of responses flooded in, mocking the bizarre tweet… so naturally, Shkreli decided to tweet a photo of his “fractured wrist.”

The internet exploded even harder, with insults pouring in by the second.

Some stuck to general mockery, while others called him out on the fact that the photo is actually an image from a medical website:

It remains unclear if Shkreli was going for some type of odd counter-troll (he is insinuating that he was), or if he legitimately does not understand how the internet works and got busted in a lie, but the responses were a gold mine either way.

Here is a sampling of some of our favorites:

Even I could not resist getting in on the fun, as one thing is certain — no matter how politically divided this country may be — we can all still stand together to laugh at Martin Shkreli.
