In touting his new book, Fed Up!, Rick Perry made a number of appearances and gave interviews. One of these was Godly Leadership: Our Fight to Save America with television evangelist James Robison on Thursday, May 5, 2011.
Perry said:
This audience member is obviously suffering from poverty and hunger.
“I think we’re in a time of great revivalness in this world. And… uh… Yeah, I know there’s a lot of concern, there’s… there’s… Y’know we got this economic recession that’s goin’ on. You got all of these, ah… The Middle East is in turmoil, I mean, you turn TV on and you really get concerned about what you’re seein’. Um, I happen to think that our, our greatest days are ahead of us. I think in America, that, uh, from time to time we have to go through some difficult times, and, and I think we’re going through those difficult economic times for a purpose, and that to bring us back to those Biblical principles of, uh, y’know you don’t spend all the money. You, you, you work hard for those, ah, six years and you put up that seventh year in the warehouse to take ya through the hard times. And, and, and not spending all of our money, not asking for Pharaoh to, to, to give everything to everybody and to take care of folks, because at the end of the day, ah, it’s slavery. And we become slaves to government.”

James Robison greets Rick Perry to his show May 5, 2011
Unwittingly, Governor Perry has told the absolute truth here… but not about President Obama’s administration. What Perry is describing is what the GOP wants to do to the working man, as laid out in Exodus 5:4-19, with GOP-led government in the role of Pharaoh:
But the king of Egypt said, “Moses and Aaron, why are you taking the people away from their labor? Get back to your work!” Then Pharaoh said, “Look, the people of the land are now numerous, and you are stopping them from working.”
That same day Pharaoh gave this order to the slave drivers and overseers in charge of the people: “You are no longer to supply the people with straw for making bricks; let them go and gather their own straw. But require them to make the same number of bricks as before; don’t reduce the quota. They are lazy; that is why they are crying out, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to our God.’ Make the work harder for the people so that they keep working and pay no attention to lies.”
Then the slave drivers and the overseers went out and said to the people, “This is what Pharaoh says: ‘I will not give you any more straw. Go and get your own straw wherever you can find it, but your work will not be reduced at all.’” So the people scattered all over Egypt to gather stubble to use for straw. The slave drivers kept pressing them, saying, “Complete the work required of you for each day, just as when you had straw.” And Pharaoh’s slave drivers beat the Israelite overseers they had appointed, demanding, “Why haven’t you met your quota of bricks yesterday or today, as before?”Then the Israelite overseers went and appealed to Pharaoh: “Why have you treated your servants this way? Your servants are given no straw, yet we are told, ‘Make bricks!’ Your servants are being beaten, but the fault is with your own people.”
Pharaoh said, “Lazy, that’s what you are—lazy! That is why you keep saying, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD.’ Now get to work. You will not be given any straw, yet you must produce your full quota of bricks.”The Israelite overseers realized they were in trouble when they were told, “You are not to reduce the number of bricks required of you for each day.”
Further into the interview, Perry rhapsodized on the message of Romans 13, as “lifting up those in authority”. It’s probably a good thing, however, to see what the verse actually says:
“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.” (Romans 13:1-7)

Thank you very, very much.
I’m presuming here that you got this information from the Internet, thank you for taking the time and effort to condense it the way you have and put it out there for people to see. I hope EVERYONE prints out your list, takes it to every GOP rally they can attend, and presses the die-hard Rick Perry supporters to explain it.
If you’re from Texas, my heart goes out to you–best of luck getting that idiot recalled and sent to jail for malfeasance, if not something more serious. It CAN be done, there are still more of us than there are of them–women in Texas are an untapped political resource, if you can get them all coming in to vote you could make Perry’s life–interesting.
Don’t forget that the Bush administration was NOT the fault of the voters of America–there is overwhelming evidence that tampering with the polls is what got us the first Texan SuperMoron. Voting-machine fraud is probably the ONLY thing that will get Perry, SuperMoron II, into the White House without handcuffs on his wrists.
Of course, if the people and law enforcement agencies of America roll over and put their hands over their eyes in the case of a winning Perry vote, as they did for the Bush debacles in 2000 and 2004, then we all deserve what we’ll get.
And we WILL GET IT, if we let Perry into the White House, either with or without a fight.
God help us all.
Henry D. Rinehart
Isn’t it strange R.Perry never seems to be able to have a debate or even speak? Like today he had to get back to Texas because of the wildfires. What could he do anyway?
Every one better go vote or he may get in. I’m moving to Canada if he does.
Great information. Is it possible for me to pass it on?
