The Oddest Sarah Palin Story You Will Ever Read

Author: September 14, 2011 11:04 am

According to the National Enquirer, there is an odd Sarah Palin tidbit in an upcoming book written by Joe McGinness, the investigative reporter who moved next door to the Republican Vice Presidential candidate.

Apparently, Sarah Palin had an interracial one night stand with former NBA star Glen Rice back in 1987, a year before she married her husband, Todd. And before you write this off as just a rumor, you should know that Rice has confirmed this story to McGinness. The encounter occurred while Palin was a sports reporter fresh out of college. Rice was in Alaska for a college basketball tournament. Palin has yet to comment on this. Here are the details, courtesy of the National Enquirer.

“In the book, which will be published on September 20th, McGinniss claims Sarah had a steamy interracial hookup with basketball stud GLEN RICE less than a year before she eloped with her husband Todd.

Sarah hooked up with the NBA great, then a 6-foot-8 junior at the University of Michigan when he was playing in a college basketball tournament in Alaska in 1987, the book says. At the time, Sarah, just out of college, was working as a sports reporter for the Anchorage TV station KTUU.

A publishing source told The ENQUIRER that McGinniss claims Sarah had a “fetish” for black men at the time and he quotes a friend as saying Sarah had “hauled (Rice’s) ass down.”

Try getting all that out of your head. This author apologizes for any trauma you may have just experienced by reading this.

  • In a strange sort of way, this makes Sarah Palin seem kind of normal. She’s still dumb as a stump and a media whore, but maybe she’s not as much of a stick-up-the-butt fundamentalist right winger as she lets on.

  • Guess that dispells any rumours that she’s racist.

    • How does this do that? Racists have been having sex with members of the races they hate for centuries…

      • He was probably kidding.

That said, it is a funny little story that would make for good laughs IF it was true.

…But look at the source. It’s most likely fake.

        • If by look at the source, you mean the National Enquirer (not the BOOK it is citing), might I point you in the direction of John Edwards? Ask HIM who broke the story of his sex scandal.

    • The vast majority of African Americans who have had their ancestors on this side of the Atlantic since the 1800s have at least one white ancestor. This had nothing to do with non-racism and everything to do with treating women, especially women of color, as property. Women have not even reached the 100 year mark of being able to vote in this country! If you’re kidding: not funny.
