The 7 Types Of Republican Idiots

Author: November 23, 2011 12:00 am

I’m going to start with the most intelligent of the Republican idiots, then work my way down the list getting progressively more stupid.

The Educated Republicans:
These are the rarest of all Republicans. Occasionally you will run into one in public, or in a public-forum online. These Republicans are the smartest of the Republican idiots. They have learned everything there is to know about their position, from a Republican perspective. They’ve educated themselves on all the reasons why their position is correct.

The reason why this type of Republican is an idiot:

Anyone with the internet and 5 minutes can find something that thoroughly discredits their version of the “facts.” Even when confronted with contradictory facts they continue to fall back on their original arguments, try to change the subject to something they are more comfortable talking about, or start expressing opinions with no factual merit.

What to Remember when debating them:

Keep them on-topic. Don’t let them ignore your counter-points and then change the subject on you. They’re masters of that, but if you can keep them on topic eventually they will just start expressing opinions to which you can say “do you have any facts to back that up?”

Fox News and Conservative Talk Radio Republicans:
These are one of the angriest groups of Republicans. They watch Fox News or listen to Conservative Talk Radio and they think it makes them an expert on politics. The only knowledge they have of politics is parroted talking points without any facts to back them up. When you defeat them in debate they will resort to calling you names like “Liberal,” “commie,” “socialist” or “baby-killer” etc. They think all liberals are socialists that want to take their money and give it to people who don’t deserve it.

The reason why this type of Republican is an idiot:
They have no idea what they are talking about. Usually they’re just repeating things they have heard from Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh. They think that liberals want to take away their freedoms and they clearly don’t know what the word “liberal” means, or what liberals have done for our country and freedom. They think President Obama is comparable to Hitler for passing health-care reform. They accuse you of watching MSNBC if you don’t agree with them. They call you a sheep but expect you to blindly believe everything they tell you, without question.

What to Remember when debating them:
Keep demanding facts from them to back up their assertions until they break down and call you any of the aforementioned names. Ask them to name specific freedoms that liberals have taken away from them. They have a tendency to become violent so watch their hands if you are debating them face to face.

Christian Republicans:
These Republicans are hypocrites. They do everything in the name of Christ, while simultaneously acting as un-Christlike as humanly possible. They support the right to carry assault weapons, are pro-war, and completely ignore the fact that the Bible depicts Christ as a Liberal who was opposed to capitalism and violence. They sincerely believe that this is God’s country and that God loves us more than anyone else in the world. They think that anyone that is not 100% pro-Israel is anti-semitic. They hate everyone that doesn’t agree with them and think the Bible tells them to, and they hate Gay people because they think they are sinners.

The reason why this type of Republican is an idiot:

They do terrible things in the name of their Lord. They think that anyone who doesn’t agree with them is damned to hell or hates America. They believe that we are a Christian Nation even though the Founding Fathers made sure that they did not brand this country as a Christian Nation. The Founding Fathers wanted a country of religious freedom, free from religious persecution, but these Republicans will never admit that.

What to Remember when debating them:

There’s a list of all the quotes that prove our Founding Fathers wanted a country of religious freedom. The link is HERE. Another thing to remember is that the Christian Right is neither. Start asking them questions like “how would Jesus feel about war,” “how would Jesus feel about assault rifles,” or “do you REALLY think that America is God’s favorite country, in the ENTIRE universe?” And of course these questions should yield a response that thoroughly proves that they are hypocrites, and continuing to argue with them would be a waste of time.

Tea Party Republicans:
These Republicans are a dumbed-down combination of the previous 2 groups of Republicans. They think Sarah Palin is intelligent and it’s the media filter’s fault that she looks so stupid. They think Reagan was fiscally Conservative even though he tripled the deficit. They watch Fox News religiously, and think Glenn Beck is credible. They don’t understand why people think they’re racist while they’re standing next to people holding racist signs. They protest higher taxes even though taxes have gone down for 95% of working families.

The reason why this type of Republican is an idiot:
They parrot Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin talking points. When you discredit one thing they say they immediately move on to the next subject. Anyone that doesn’t agree with them is a socialist, even though they can’t give you the actual definition of socialism. Many of them are on Medicare while protesting “socialism.” They have never met a socialist, so they have no idea what socialists believe. They think liberals are socialists and socialists are Nazis.

What to Remember when debating them:

They have no idea what they’re talking about. Ask them to prove what they are saying. If you ask them a question and they respond with a question refuse to answer their question until they answer yours. Don’t back down. Remind them that taxes have actually been lowered for 95% of working families. If debating them in public be careful because they are known to carry guns in places they don’t need them, like public parks and bars and churches.

Birther Republicans:
The birthers think that Obama was born in Kenya. No matter how much evidence you present them with that is contradictory to that, they will continue to insist that he is not the legitimate President. They are sore-losers because McCain lost the election, and they will never support Obama, even if he paid off the entire National Debt.

The reason why this type of Republican is an idiot:

They think Obama was born in Kenya. They think that Orly Taitz, who grew up in a communist country, is credible, and that Obama is a socialist. They think that Obama’s birth announcements in Hawaiian newspapers were propagated over 40 years in advance of his election, just so that he could be elected someday.

What to Remember when debating them:

Don’t waste your time. You could wave Obama’s actual birth certificate in their face and they would still say it’s a fake. They are sore-losers and they will never be happy as long as Obama is President. Make jokes asking to see their birth certificates, or Sarah Palin’s birth certificate. This is the best way to get them to go away.

Racist Republicans:
[DISCLAIMER: I am putting this one almost last for a reason. I do NOT think that all Republicans are racists. I have Republican family members who are not racist. This section is only about the small percentage of Republicans that are ACTUALLY racist, because they do exist. I’m not “playing the race card” or “race-baiting,” I’m just describing a small group of racists who also affiliate themselves with the Republican Party]

Racist Republicans hate Obama because he’s black. They think that all Muslims are terrorists. They think Obama is a terrorist Muslim. The think anyone with a name like Obama’s is a terrorist.

The reason why this type of Republican is an idiot:

They’re racist, but they think Obama is a racist. They can’t understand why people call them racists when they post racist pictures or racist comments and then claim not to be racist. Whenever they possibly can they will call you a racist, to hide the fact that they are actually racists.

What to Remember when debating them:

They’re racists. Racists are uneducated bigots. You would have a much easier time convincing an apple tree to start growing oranges.

Extremely Idiotic Republicans:
These Republicans are Republicans because they think it’s cool. They have a Republican in one of the other groups listed, so they think they know what they’re talking about. They have terrible spelling and grammar but they expect you to believe whatever they say because they are saying it to you.

The reason why this type of Republican is an idiot:

It’s hard to tell if they ever made it past the 4th grade. Most of their posts are illegible. They don’t know anything about their position other than what they have heard their friends say. They think that Republicans are fiscally conservative because they say that they are, and call anyone that doesn’t agree with them sheep. They ignore all historical information that is contradictory to what they say. They are 100% blind to facts.

What to Remember when debating them:

No amount of facts or logic will ever convince them that their buddies are wrong. You could be a college professor and they will still think that your opinion isn’t credible. Instead of trying to argue with them try explaining Algebra to your dog. I’m sure it will be much more productive.

I hope that this has been an informative resource for you. I hope you will remember some of the things I have said the next time you are engaged in a debate with a Republican idiot.

Feel free to tell me I’m wrong;

  • Sadly the educated ones, those are not just republicans. I have a Religion and computer nerd/Democrat as an friend and a Dad thats just like him, except he’s an rupublica. The thing is they are both smart-alikes, they think they know everything but I’ve notice my dad has more accurate knowledge of politics than he does. My dad listens to everybody and gathered info like a detective. I’m actually begging him to write a blog, he will be doing a lot of people a good favor.

  • Aliceandthechesirecat

The author states not all Repubs are Racist, but in my experience most Repuggies are racist, homophobic, misogynistic, uneducated, traitorous gas bags. If the author knows Repuggie Tealibani who are NOT racists then I believe the author knows and fistfull of the ‘ol RINOs.

  • This article is useless without VENN DIAGRAM!

  • oops “refudiate”, sara palin, who’d a thunk it. sorry

  • damn that should be “you’re”

  • Second Amendment Democrat

Great article, and the commenttators continue to prove just how correct it is. The level of ignorance and deliberate blindness is appalling.

Be prepared, people. The Kochs’ fascist agenda has been carefully planned and is being executed as you read this. The Tea Party dupes and tools have no clue what they are fighting for, and unfortunately, the Pollyanna Democrats still think it’s business as usual and “Can’t we all just get along?”

The standard tactic used by Republicans and bullies the world over – do something bad – illegal, immoral or wallet-fattening – and then blame the other person/side. Ignore any facts to the contrary, close your ears and mind and shout louder.

My tried and tested solution – kick ’em in the balls! And when they scream? Kick ’em again, harder. It’s what they are doing to us, so it’s not “unfair” (defined as “it’s OK for the GOP to do this to the peasants, but not OK for the peasants to do to the Billies…)

  • Al From Maine

Well, it is obvious that you are just another left wing nut job, who has his head in his rectum. The democratic candidates are just as bad as the republicans, both sides have equal disregard for the Constitution and the American people. The heart of the problem is an entitlement society with an intrusive nanny state mentality, it is sapping this great country of its greatness.

    • LOL actually you’re right, except the ‘left wing nut job'(assuming you mean the author) was pretty right on target.

It is hysterical to see exactly the same things I’ve personally experienced in discussing almost any issue with MOST (I will not say ‘all’) self-proclaimed Republicans and Conservatives. (IN fact, those exceptional people may only be Republican in name because their ‘beliefs’, level-headed thought processes and compassionate reactions are very ‘Liberal’ – no offense intended!)

I’ve debated many folks and have found that the way the loudest Conservatives always try to discredit any evidence provided (if they don’t resort to labeling and name-calling first) is to challenge it: ‘Oh, prove it – send me the link’. Which is confrontational to begin with, and futile. Why? Because, I’ve then had provided them with a plethora of credible references and link, only to have them discard EVERY LINK AND REFERENCE I provided as ‘lies’, ‘not credible’ and – get this – ‘you must be the same kind of person who doesn’t believe Man ever walked on the moon’ (not sure what THAT had to do with anything – and btw wrong again – of course we landed on the moon. Look at all the junk we left up there.)

Then of course there follows the predictable tirade of insults calling me a neofascist commie green treehugging eco-terrorist socialist left wing nut job.

      Very dignified response.

So the author is pretty funny and So correct. Loved the giggles.

  • Robert Y Speed

It should be called the 7 levels of republican idiocy masquerading as insanity.

  • You know the terribly ironic thing about this article is that it is itself idiotic…and hypocritical.

It’s strange how we become so polarized as human beings. Perhaps it’s survival method we evolved millions of years ago.

The thing is, *both* sides become so entrenched in their views, so “educated” on their positions and why they’re right, they become thoroughly convinced that they *are* right…

…and that the other side is just “dumb.” So dumb, in fact, that you ask yourself, “How do they not see this? How do they not see how dumb they are? Why don’t they get it? They must just be stupid, misinformed, and/or brainwashed.”

Such is the case with the author of this article.

I’ve said it so many times before — it’s a crying shame.

The next time you’re in a discussion with someone, why not listen to their position and debate it honestly than attack them and conclude that they’re “idiots”?

Trust me — there are very valid points on both sides of any issue.

    • TRUST YOU? That’s a sure sign you are on of the Republican idiots. No learned person says, “trust me!”

    • Ha! Give me one valid point that a conservative has made in the last 30 years. Just one. Come on, can’t you find just one…

    • Funny you say this because recently I was trying to share some links with a friends’ brother. By way of background, I am trying to help the planet and biodiversity and had NO REASON to suspect he wasn’t also someone who cared about this issue – I thought he was simply seeking some information. So I sent it to him.

At NO TIME was there any talk of politics. There was no need. I was only interested in communicating facts and posts about the state of a current situation regarding this wildlife issue and ecosystem dynamics.

Boy, though, did I get shot back a mean-spirited, derogatory and highly political character assassination by this VERY staunch FOX News groupie.

Now, understand I’d thought we were interested sharing info on one issue – protecting wildlife. And I was told he also loved animals and wanted to protect them. There was nothing partisan in the discussion. Even though I knew he was Republican, I was predisposed to like and trust him because he is the brother of a very close friend who was working on the issue with me, so had no reason or impulse to bring anything but the actual events surrounding the situation into our discussion.

Being deeply involved in the legislative and factual side of my issue, I was the expert. He, by his own admission, KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT — yet he still reacted by trying to resoundingly discredit every link I sent him – then sent me back an example of a link HE thought was ‘credible’ – which turned out to be a LINK BACK to the very source I had shared with him!

And instead of just saying ‘OK let’s not discuss this any more’, he instead began name-calling and character assassination, then before I might have a chance to reply to the insults he proceeded to BLOCK ME from ever emailing him again.

      Very grown up.

Not only did my facts fall on deaf ears but I was roundly insulted by him in the process. Why?? Why take an attitude like that unless you are ALREADY PREDISPOSED TO REJECT NEW INFORMATION?

If this is a typical Republican response, NO WONDER any discussion always dissolves into a fight.

  • Democrats,Republicans,Jews,Christians,Buddhists,Hindus,Muslims…can anyone see anymore? Can we not go back in the caves and drag our knuckles? As always(especially youMr.F.U…you need war)we are one planet,we have the same conditions for life.Until you see something truly sacred about life you will live and die in darkness.Maybe some day you’ll join us and the world will be as one…religious people are afraid of going to hell..spiritual people have already been there.

  • Does everyone else see ads here for Newsmax (the one with Bachmann’s picture) and some book about how “Liberalism Destroys Peoples and Nations”? I’m going to start clicking on those as often as possible. It’ll make money for addictinginfo, right? Just click on it, then close the page when it opens. Costs them money, makes a few cents for

  • heavynumber

The number one way to spot a real idiot? Anyone who would read and respond to anything on this site. Myself included for having a low enough forehead to waste the five minutes of my precious life to do just that.
But I just couldn’t help myself,I mean, read some of this donnage. It’s like a car wreck. You know what you see is going to disgust and offend your senses, but ya just gotta look.Man this place is motorcycle and sidecar vs bullet train, with a puppy on the handlebars, yikes.CarryTF on

    • That’s funny, heavynumber…at least you acknowledged you’re an idiot, unlike the rest who fail to recognize their idiocy. I’d much rather be in the wind on my motorcycle with sidecar in touch with the real world than isolated in a stainless steel bullet train.

  • Novelist William Faulkner had my favorite definition of Republican. “A Republican,” said Faulkner, “is a conservative who has learned how to read.”

  • So I’m a pretty young girl, a mere 22 years young, and I’m still trying to figure this whole world out, but I’ve learned a few things along the way. Now I’m a “Registered Democrat” but that doesn’t mean I vote for anyone who is a Dem. That’s just ignorant. I can’t understand why people do that. Either they’re too stupid to research the facts or they don’t understand them, or they just blindly believe that anything in their party must be correct? I’d like to be informed, really. Another thing I don’t understand is why Republicans tend to nit pick, look at the small picture, take apart a small thing like a birth certificate and make it this huge topic? Clearly, at some point, before running for president, Obama would have had to have shown his birth certificate. That is not something that we should have these huge arguments over. I mean really, have republicans decided to keep their eyes closed? Do they not see that our world is on the edge of chaos? And they’re worried about a birth certificate? Or let’s say Obama’s a terrorist because of his middle name. Well I guess you could say I’m a saint because of mine. Really guys? Is this all you have to care about? See, I realize that my generation is going to be in control of this world soon, and I’m scared about this. I feel we’re largely ignorant of this world and we try to make explanations to understand but we don’t understand. All of this religious stuff in our country has to go if we’re going to even be respected by others. This is “gods country” and “gods land” screw that that’s a load of bull. As long as people retain that attitude we are going to be looked at as a joke. We’ve been around a mere 200ish years..compared to what..10s of thousands of years in the mid-far east? And we think we should have control? Other countries hate us for our “young attitudes” and I think they have a little stock in that. Unfortunately, I feel republicans push that attitude more than Democrats. I think that Democrats have their eyes a little more open, they think realistically and not like an idealist. We tend to have an attitude if we can see it we believe it where republicans are more likely to blindly follow a religion. The main difference I’ve learned is we prefer facts that can be backed up where Republicans don’t need to see it, they can be told what or how it is, and that’s enough for them. And in politics, in playing with our lives, our well-being, having false truths is too dangerous. We might as well be playing with fire if republicans, especially the kinds that were named above, controlled our country. I just hope we haven’t succumbed to their idiotic practices and we have enough of us to protect this world. Not just our country, but the world. Because right now, I don’t see a future if things continue the path they’re on.

    • Very good post Bailey!!!

    • Great post Bailey and good to see someone of your years actually using some critical thinking skills.
A few tips from years ahead of you to take or leave as you wish. First off it won’t be “your generation” that takes control of the world. It will be some well rehearsed people of means that will take advantage of ignorance and grip power while your “generation” wastes it’s time and energy. If it were true generations “take over” today we would all be cavorting around stoned out of our mind and making free love all over the place (shudders at the thought of 50+ naked people chanting free love and yes I am one…chuckle).
In simple words many of my generation are ignorant as rocks because they are self-centered egotists. They also are the quittinest generation in a lot of respects. Our parents worked hard to give us things and instead of appreciating it we feel as if we are entitled to it. We should change the name from boomers to “give us more more more”. It’s herd work and selflessness that will give the American ideals a chance.
Keep thinking and keep working for the great good. It certainly lifts my spirit to know there are citizens like you out there. Thanks

  • You basically defined hard headed people and politicians. Your post does not give reason it just describes behavior.

You label a large group of people racist by their party affiliation, then to call other hypocrites?

Do you see the irony here?

You along with the people who support your post must have missed the dozens of independent research projects that pointed out that people registered as republican or independent are 3 times more likely to be up to date on whats going on.

As a whole this immature and ignorant, their are people on both sides who are educated and respectable the two party system is necessary for a democracy and both sides have those true to their beliefs regardless of the percs or prosecution people like you throw at them.

    • G Randall the Younger

I can’t stop laughing at: ‘The two party system is necessary for a democracy’.
      I can’t disagree more.
You know George Washington (that was the first president if the Federal version of the United States for you tea baggers’ clarification) argued against a two party system in his inaugural address.
We would have better politicians if they were to be elected on thire merits and not by thire associations as in a two party system.

    • Kyle, please site your independent research projects that make your point.

    • Gee Kyle, I think you got this all backwards. Studies reveal that Liberals have considerably higher IQs than Cons. And, your idea that “dozens of studies” show this or that is wishful thinking. Dozens of studies show just the opposite. Witness this tea party list:

You didn’t get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

You didn’t get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.

You didn’t get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.

You didn’t get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.

You didn’t get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn’t get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on an illegal war.

You didn’t get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the Abu Grahib photos.

You didn’t get mad when you found out we were torturing people.

You didn’t get mad when the national debt doubled under the previous President from $5.674 trillion to $10.024 trillion.

You didn’t get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping
Americans and the President lied about it.

You didn’t get mad when we didn’t catch Bin Laden in Tora Bora.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter

You didn’t get mad when we let a major US city drown!

You didn’t get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.

You finally got mad when the government decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick.

Yes! Illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax
dollars to make the rich richer, are all ok with you, but helping
other Americans… well that makes you mad.

Where’s your political awareness now, hotshot?

    • “Dozen’s of independent research..” please do post those links. And Fox news polls don’t count. Oh you can’t find them? Here is an article sitting data from a Gallup pole and a major university. Since you likely wont read it let me quickly boil it down.

“Central Connecticut State University did a ranking of the most literate cities in America, for 2009. Of the top ten most conservative states, not one city in any of these states made the list of the most literate in America. Of the top ten most liberal states, five cities in five separate states ranked amongst the top ten most literate in the country.”

  • PJ, nothing you said is fact. The unemployment and deficit problems are all caused by republicans. Repubs started numerous wars to make their buddies rich. That along with the bush tax cuts are most of the problem.
and sorry gas was higher under bush i guess your memory needs some work. I realize nothing i can say will make you ever change your mind. If you have to call obama names to prove a point, you dont have a valid point in the first place. I love how you say look it up its true. looking up online doesnt mean sorry.
All these problems you bitch about were here before obama came in office. I dont like him either but hes 100000000000000000000000 times better than mcain palin. The economy was about to explode and he saved us from that. Now dems want to fix things but repubs filibuster anything that would make this country better. PJ=Troll or idiot. probably both

  • Larry Friedman

I think one of the primary things to keep in mind is that the modern conservatives (especially the so-called neo-conservatives, or neo-cons) are the ones who TRULY hate America since they are all selfish, hypocritical, and IMO also mostly racist, anti-semetic, misogynist and homophobic. They ONLY care about a very narrow segment of the American population and depend on people who are WILLINLGLY ignorant (the tea party and Sarah Palin, for example). They want ALL regulation of big business ended, criple all segments of government and privatize EVERYTHING! The suffering of the poor and the systematic dismantling of the American middle class are part of that agenda.

  • Thanks – this is a useful taxonomy, complete with (mostly) practical advice about how to deal with each type.

It reminds me of the Poisonous Snakes poster I saw recently in an animal emergency clinic. The poster contained pictures; how to identify and distinguish each type; behavior (e.g., aggressive vs. more interested in avoiding YOU than you are in avoiding IT); toxin type, effects and antidote.

  • i dont think i’ve ever met anyone who has explained this soo well!! awesome! Birther Republicans are some of the most fun to argue with!! bahahaha

  • Do a search and replace on republican with democrat, conservative with liberal, and right with left in this article. Then change all the republican dogma to democratic dogma, and you the perfect rebuttal. All politicians have become corrupt and are out for their own interests.

  • I stopped voting for any Democrat in 2004, when I woke up and realized that John “if you don’t study hard in school and get good grades, you’ll end up fighting in Iraq” Kerry was nothing more than a facelifted buffoon. I suppose everyone here thinks Obama is the greatest President in U.S. history, when under his watch we now have the highest budget deficit in U.S. history, the highest gas prices in U.S. history, the longest streak of 9%+ unemployment since the Great Depression, and housing prices declining big time-all under the regime of the DEMOCRATS. Look it up if you don’t believe me. So…how’s that hope and change working again? Obama is one and done. Worst President we’ve ever had. Jimmy Carter thinks he is clueless when it comes to domestic issues. Jimmy Hoffa would think he was too corrupt. I always refer to him as Comrade Dear Leader B. Hu$$ein OIboughtanelection (because he is and he did), aka Barry Soetoro (his legal name). Have fun, libs, because come November of next year, your Socialistic experiment will be completely obliterated.

    A Republican who THINKS.

P.S. Everything I posted about the economy, jobs, and oil prices can be easily looked up online. It’s all true.

    • Robert Gonzalez

PJ, like the other republican who responded, you demonstrated yourself to be several of the above mentioned Republicans. What you fail to realize or accept is that everything you mentioned was catalyzed by G.W. Bush. Do you know what “catalyzed” means? It was he who left a huge deficit. If you are so hung up on this then why haven’t the Republicans created more jobs yet? They’ve had more time that was given to Obama. Why haven’t they fixed the economy yet? It was Bush who created an economic condition that required drastic action to prevent the economy from completely collapsing and even more people to lose their jobs and homes. To blame any president for high gas prices is the epitome of ignorance. Talk to the oil companies about that one since they ALWAYS raise their prices just before any holiday and every summer so they can further rip you off. The housing prices declined at the end of Bush’s presidency in 2008 not during Obama’s. Even further ironically, you have proved yourself to be an idiot Republican by resorting to racist name calling, implying that Hussein is somehow an evil name. If you were intelligent you would have looked up the meaning of Hussein before you spouted your hatred. Of course, you are one of the Republicans that can’t face the truth (or lack of truth) of their statements. It appears you appear to be not just one type of Republican idiot but all types, and you don’t even know you’ve proved my case…….you are such an intelligent guy. You are one of those who doesn’t even know that he doesn’t know and, worst of all, thinks he does. You are one of the most dangerous people in the world (look it up if you don’t believe me…if you can even use Google). What I think is funny is that this page is available to the entire world. There will eventually be thousands of people reading this thread. Some will be Republicans who will shake their heads in shame. Yes, there are moderate, and sincerely intelligent Republicans. They are far and few between. However, a vast majority of people who read this, including foreigners, will see very clearly that you have embarrassed yourself to the bone and they will simply laugh like the rest of us here. And no, it will not just be Democrats/Liberals reading this. It will be the whole world. Good job! You must be a proud masochist.

    • so you think everything would magically be better, the depression would take a turning point, the unemployment rate would go down, and gas would be cheaper(oil is becoming scarce so watch what you say), allof this would have ALL happened and everyone would be alright only if a republican was in office? everything would would have been solved in matter of two years? TWO YEARS, thats a big job for two years…

    • From your tone, I really doubt you ever voted Democrat. As it turns out I stopped voting for republicans (small ‘r’ on purpose) in 2004 after Bush Jr was elected for a second term. I didn’t vote for him the first time because I thought he was an idiot. I didn’t vote for him the second time because he proved I was correct. Any group, or people, that would purposely put GW in office for a second term have to be idiots.

    • CapeCodAtheist

Funny thing about John Kerry’s comment, “if you don’t study hard in school and get good grades, you’ll end up fighting in Iraq”…He was right. And just for shits and giggles, genius, gas prices spiked higher under Bush.

  • Hilarious! I know a ton of these people!

  • Bryton Olson

Both sides have idiots. I should make one saying “The 8 ways of how to tell a hardcore liberal or conservative to shut up” And for those of you who are either pure liberal or pure conserative grow some fucking balls and stand up for what you believe in. You people are fucking retarded. I voted for Bush and that was dumb… I voted for Obama and that was also dumb. Peter Griffen from Family Guy could run this country better.

  • YouRanAss Hole

Do you make a living out of being a dickhead, or is it an extracurricular activity?

  • Throughout the categories runs a “red-faced bully/ passive aggressive” element, ’cause when taken to task over their stupidity, most of these republicans become insecure and hostile.

    • You have successfully proven the authors point. Republicans refuse to even LOOK UP FACTS, and they quote fox or GOP talking points, ( same thing). Fox voted as the #1 Network in lies to it’s viewers. Every fact you claimed as ‘truth’ has a history that can clear up your misinformation. Your boy Bush allowed us to be attacked on 9/11. Did nothing for the American people drowning in New Orleans, caused the debt Obama was handed on election, and Bush LIED about the true debts number.Bush lied us into two wars. Bush never caught Bin Laden, in fact he stated he wasn’t looking. Obama killed the number one terrorist Bin Laden , and helped Libya without a troop on the ground or one person (American) shedding blood, while Bush caused thousands to be killed.Obama has given this country back some of our decency, unlike, tortured in our name, committed war crimes, shredded our freedoms ( Patriot Act), spied on American citizens,as Bush/Cheney did. Also, facts you can check..I was a republican many years ago. Then I saw the facts, opened my mind and eyes. Try it.

  • I’ll start off by saying that I consider myself to be a Democrat, and that I think this article is very well thought out and written. I was wondering, though, if anyone has seen a rebuttal to this, from a Republican (most likely from one of the ‘Educated Republicans’ lol)? It might be an interesting read! ;P

  • Republican girls are pretty cute, though, in their red dress suits. I love how they “thumbs-up” me all the time. The thumbs up sign is the coolest. Like The Fonz. And it makes me feel like I’m doing something right! Like my absolute and unwavering commitment to refusing to vote at all. What a waste of time. The lesser of two evils is still evil, you know, y’all. (THUMBS UP!)

  • richard ralston

    Perfect very well done!

  • Oh and I forgot to add… if you disagree with anything that I have said, you are nothing but a hateful, biggoted, racist, obama-islama-homophobe; who hates kittens, trees, and the earth (see… I can play that game, too)!

    • Redstate Dem

So, “me” are you trying to make the point that one can be every type of Republican simultaneously? I think you failed.

Though you’re trying to sound like a Fock Snooze republican, when your best argument is an F bomb, you reveal youself as an extremely idiotic republican.

Hey, it’s such a beautiful day today, why don’t you go outside and hate?

  • …and just to reiterate (hope that isn’t too big of a word for you liberal MORONS), FUCK YOU…

  • This article is so moronic, it doesn’t even deserve a comment! FUCK YOU, and your “all conservatives are idots” mentality!

  • Michael Hester

    I love it……………:-)

    It is so true.

  • Jesus was a Jewish hippie who promoted radical wealth redistribution, world peace, tolerance and acceptance of others, caring for the weak, and everything the Tea Party despises! If Jesus came about in 2011, the Tea Party would have crucified him themselves.

    • Jesus did not want the government involved in our lives. Social programs were not to be government provided but provided by the church. Why is it that both sides only want to bring Jesus into the discussion to make their point but all other times they dismiss Him.

      • Really? I’ve read the bible and never saw any of that. Thanks for proving the author’s point. Why don’t you give me some proof that this is actually in the bible. It’s easy. Just cite the verses where Jesus said that he “did not want the government involved in our lives” and that “Social programs were not to be government provided but provided by the church.”

      • Michael S. Smith

Who says that Jesus would not want the Government to provide social services for the people in Ancient times they did, the Roman Government actualy gave food to the poor.

      • SteveinOhio

What Church did Jesus speak of? Was there one that predates the one that was created for him?

      • Sarah, there is no Biblical reference to your post. If you are going to report on what Jesus “thought” at least provide verses of scripture to make your point. When Jesus was alive there was no Christian church. He was a Jew, remember? Jesus wasn’t even a Christian. Please, come back and respond with something other than what your pastor and David Barton say. There are likely several people on this board who are seminarians. Any Bible historian will disagree with you.

    • Yes, Jesus promoted all those things, but he never once suggested that the government do them. His entire focus was on individual responsibility and compassion. Any true libertarian would agree with such a concept.

    • Who”s the idiot now?

  • Remember: Never argue with an idiot. People might forget who’s who!

  • Second Amendment Democrat

Good post. But why bother debating them, it’s not like they actually have anything useful to say. Just laugh at them, insult them, humiliate them, pull their pants down in public, ‘accidentally’ drop a pitcher of beer on one if you’re a waitress, then call the cops when he’s left and report a stinking drunk, or kick them when they’re down (like they have done over and over to the rest of us.) And make them targets. They are surely targeting you…

  • Careful, he might try to change the subject ;D

  • Republican “Idiots?” Connect the ideological “dots” –

Republican Congressman Donald “Buz” Lukens; Republican Party leader Bobby Stumbo; National Chairman of the Young Republicans Chairman Glenn Murphy Jr.; Republican congressman Robert Bauman; Republican Congressman Dan Crane; Republican congressman John Scmitz; Republican congressman Ed Schrock; Republican legislative aide Howard L. Brooks; Republican Committee Chairman Jeffrey Patti; Republican Senator Mark Foley; Republican call-boy Jeff Gannon; Republican Ambassador John Bolton; Republican congressman Bob Barr; John McCain’s Presidential Campaign Chaiman Bob Allen; Congressman Randy Cunningham; Republican adviser to Dick “Shoot ’em in the Face” Cheney, I. Lewis “Scatboy” Libby; Republican senator Larry Craig … How about that?

  • For a site that pokes fun at “uneducated” people, there are A LOT of typos and grammatical mistakes in this article. Not a good example, guys.

  • hmmmm…I think I’d have to classify you as an extremely idiotic Republican. with a side of Fox News/Conservative Talk Radio flair. Keep voting against your best interests to teach us socialists a lesson! /roflmao

  • Eh, let’s just not get started with The Democratic Idiots. I.e., Reverse Racism Democrats, Questionable Advocacy Democrats, Scandalous Democrats, Socialist Democrats, Extremely Idiotic Democrats, ‘Firsts’ Democrats (a majority of people who voted for Hillary Clinton & Barack Obama), Gullible Democrats, Union Democrats, Ethics over Efficiency Democrats, Social Issue Extremist Democrats, Inevitable Disaster Solving Democrats, Brainwashed Democrats, Unable to Provide for Themselves Democrats, Give a Chance Democrats, Giving Losers a Chance over those who’ve Earned It Democrats, Egotistical Democrats, We Can Tell Others What To Do Democrats, et cetera. Unfortunately and ashamedly, the list actually goes on.

    • How is a union democrat an idiot? explain what a social issue extremist is…

you seem to fit into the Fox News Republican idiot group.

      • Way to name-call and NOT use facts to back up your lack of argument. I have a feeling this comment will be deleted because I have yet to see a self-proclaimed liberal actually address the facts provided to them.

Let a union rally leader tell you why a union democrat is an idiot:

See him leading the rally here:

See the blog post with pictures of signs and the Socialist pamphlet here:

See the blog response to the chant: Show me what democracy looks like:

Tired of hearing how great Socialism is?

Want to know what happens to useful idiots when it’s all said and done?

        • I wonder if you could provide some facts to dispute? as these are videos of some guy at a rally. He’s a little foggy on what socialism is, but I gleen that’s not your point. The other links are from some right wing blog and again no facts provided. Okay we get it you think democrats/ unions are socialists..yada yada. Did you enjoy your last weekend? You had that weekend because unions went on strike during the industrial revolution. We don’t want to have a socialist state we just want justice, fairness and some sense of collective good. Schools, healthcare, roads, you know.. like a civilized society.

          • Oh yeah.. ethics over effiency is exactly what I’m talking about. It’s good to see that you as republican can admit that you don’t value ethics. You fit right in with your pals.. Oh yeah.. we do have some socialism here in America. hint hint.. Your pal Sarah.. The state of Alaska collects money from the oil companies and distributes it among the people.. that my friend is socialism

    • “…Ethics Over Efficiency Democrats”. Yes, Zyklon B funneled into a small room WAS extremely efficient. I’ll still take the ethics of NOT killing people just because they happen to be Jews, Gypsies, gay, or handicapped. So I guess that makes me PROUD to be an “Ethics Over Efficiency Dem”.

    • I think that it’s pretty cool that you can think up all those labels. Now, can you detail them the way the author did?

    • science guy

Wow, you just proved the point of the original post. You idiotically spout vague ad hominem rhetoric in an angry way, with no facts to back you up. Nice going, Republican Idiot!

    • Very humorous, hmm…etc., very droll.

Ironically, your posting illustrates very well the profile Mr. Desmond describes as The Educated Republican. Your spelling and syntax describe an education, while you failed to address the subject or refute even one of the types as described. Instead you deflected the subject to a series of frenzied descriptors of Democrats. The one that really pinned the depths of your hatred for all things Democrat was the “ethics before efficiency Democrat”. Only a boiled to the bone Republican would think that Ethics, representing honesty and truthfulness in human relationships to be less important to society than making sure the trains run on time.

If you want to write your own article, then you can control the commentary to keep to your focus (whatever that may be). Meanwhile, thank you for being a human ‘case in point’.

BTW: Obama got Osama. Kinda’ gets you right here, don’t it?

      • A.D.V. said: “you failed to address the subject or refute even one of the types as described.”

        Uh…don’t you mean “refudiate”?? LOL

Thus far I haven’t met a republican I can discuss even minor issues with. They’re so out in left field it’s like talking to someone from a different planet.
I find it difficult to comprehend that they really do believe what the teabags have told them and it’s simply impossible to have a half intelligent conversation with them.
Tell me there are some fairly normal ones out there please. I just haven’t encountered them yet, right?

Thanks for the list. Too bad it’s rather accurate as far as my experience has been.

    • G Randall the Younger

Your list and what I think of it:
Reverse Racism Democrats: This is a term that always bothered me; treating people differently on basis of ethnic background is racist, no ‘reverse’ about. Users of said term tend to be racist themselves because they hold themselves in a different group as those traditionally discriminated against.
Questionable Advocacy Democrats: ‘Questionable’ is a highly subjective term, just meaning it can be questioned and anybody can question the validity of any action.
Scandalous Democrats: Yes, Bill Clinton got a BJ from somebody other than his wife: Get Over It! That has nothing to do with the otherwise good job he did as President.
Socialist Democrats: Do you know what Socialisim actualy is? I don’t see the ideal of all people being equal as a bad thing.
Extremely Idiotic Democrats: There are idiots everywhere- your argument is invalid. (Couldn’t help the meme…)
‘Firsts’ Democrats: I believe most of these people would have voted for Kerry, Gore, Clinton and so forth if they had been old enough to vote prior to 2005
Gullible Democrats: I have nothing, it is just a work with negative connotation and ‘Democrats’. No real substance here.
Union Democrats: Is something wrong with the protection if the rights of workers (AKA: the lower, working and middle classes or just simply put: the majority of Americans)? Ethics over Efficiency Democrats: And what is ‘efficient’ about just about any of the Republican policies?
Social Issue Extremist Democrats: There are extremists in every philosophy.
Inevitable Disaster Solving Democrats: you could also call that being ‘Proactive’, becides it is generally more efficant to prevent a problem than fix one.
      Brainwashed Democrats: Brainwashed- with facts!
Unable to Provide for Themselves Democrats: leeches exist, yes, but they are a minority. And they still probably have more social worth than the “Born with a silver spoon Republicans”. Most people on welfare programs are just individuals down on thire luck, the elderly, the very young or were dealt a bad hand in life.
Give a Chance Democrats: What the Duce does this even mean!?
Giving Losers a Chance over those who’ve Earned It Democrats: You realize most rich are ‘old money’ right? Most people who you say ‘earned it’ have never truly worked a day in thire life! And most ‘Losers’ were likewise born into that situation?
Egotistical Democrats: There are narcissists in every philosophy. That’s just people being people.
We Can Tell Others What To Do Democrats: Isn’t that the nature of any lawmaker, no matter the ideology?

      • why even bother responding to this idiot? Reverse racism is the first clue that this person has been drinking Republican cool aid and has no idea what he is talking about.

        • G Randall the Younger

It at least made me feel better… becides I often find myself fighting doomed battles due to my strong ideology and a personal honor code.

That and hopefully the guy will try and read it and his brain will implode or something if that ilk. I’d call that a win.

    • Jules4Nicky

Yes, and unfortunately, you make more sense and are clearer in a shorter post. Why are they so inarticulate?

    • Have you seen the republican first ladies?? lol… Barbara Bush, had nothing on Jackie Kennedy’s beauty and class, or Michelle Obama who has both brains and beauty,or even Hillary Clinton, a Democrat woman with serious brain power isn’t bad looking for her age. Robot like Laura Bush, defined nothing except why not to drink and drive, was the first of the GOP Stepford wives allowed out of the GOP closet. Democrat women have both beauty and brains to spare, and can’t be touched with Republican women today or in the last several decades.

  • KatieFromMpls

In practice, Birthers and Racists are six of one, half-dozen of the other.

There is no such thing as The Educated Republicans:

    Sorry…great post!

    • You NAILED it!!!

      • Nailed it?

Like they did to Jeebus, the son of the Sky-Spook that raped a virgin woman of Asian ancestry whose husband she was married to never touched? That kinda nailed it? The one the Repukelicans worship?

        • That’s incredibly offensive and ignorant. Just because this is a site which points out that a good portion of Republicans use religion in the wrong way does not give you the right to be so crass towards other people’s beliefs.

          • Yes it does. Religion is not immune from criticism or ridicule. In fact, that is the healthiest approach to it.

          • Actually, yes it does. You see delusions have no place in society and the delusional and thier delusions will continue to be mocked until they either grow up or stay out of public sight.

            • Delusions.. like believing that a book written by hundreds of different men over hundreds of years is some how the word of God? I’d sooner have faith in intelligent design.

          • Yes, calling all republicans idiots and laughing at their views is okay, but when you believe in zombie deities and intervening skydaddies it earns you respect.

        • When you ridicule the beliefs of others just because you don’t believe or agree, you are just as bad as most of the people defined on this site.

You have a right to be an atheist or agnostic here in America; you do not have a right to categorically demean the beliefs of others.

You sound as ridiculous as the birthers and teabaggers.

        • Tim, posts like this makes you sound just like the hard right religious fundamentalist. It drives their point home. Please don’t give them this kind of ammunition. It does nothing but offend those who might be leaning left, and gives the right just what they want. Please

  • Dimitar Rusev

    Great and helpful!
However, there could be outlined one more basic type: Zionist Republicans (Republican Jewish Coalition, American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America, etc.)
