In an effort to win the Michigan primary, the Santorum campaign made robo calls to Democrats in the state, urging them to come out and vote against Romney. It’s a good strategy of course, since the primary is open to all voters. But Mitt Romney complained about it, calling it “outrageous” and “disgusting.” Jon Stewart of The Daily Show however revealed that Romney himself has voted for weaker Democratic candidates in Democratic primaries as a strategy, including once voting against Ted Kennedy.
Using his Mitt Romney flip flop finder, Stewart revealed two clips of Romney from 2007, in which Romney gleefully talks about voting in Democratic primaries in an effort to thwart the stronger candidates. At the end of the segment, Stewart quips “That guy just makes it way too f***ing easy.”
Here’s the video:
Yeah, Mitt Romney really does make this too easy. Every word that comes out of his mouth is a flip flop. So to use a phrase from Stewart, why hasn’t any Republican crushed this guy yet?
