Bristol Palin Ignorantly Attacks President Obama, Claims She Is A Struggling Single Mom

Stupidity and ignorance must be imprinted on the Palin genes.

During a speech in Rhode Island, President Obama spoke about how difficult it is for many moms to obtain daycare services for their kids, therefore forcing them to stay at home which leads to lower income. Here’s the relevant part of the speech:

And too often, parents have no choice but to put their kids in cheaper daycare that maybe doesn’t have the kinds of programming that makes a big difference in a child’s development. And sometimes there may just not be any slots, or the best programs may be too far away. And sometimes, someone, usually mom, leaves the workplace to stay home with the kids, which then leaves her earning a lower wage for the rest of her life as a result. And that’s not a choice we want Americans to make.

And here’s the video of the speech via Bloomberg.

But Sarah Palin’s hypocritical fornicating daughter Bristol apparently only caught the last two lines of that part of the speech. In her mind Obama said, “Sometimes, someone, usually mom, leaves the workplace to stay home with the kids, which then leaves her earning a lower wage for the rest of her life as a result. And that’s not a choice we want Americans to make.”

She immediately jumped to the conclusion that the speech was an attack on stay-at-home moms who choose to take care of their children instead of working. And so, she wrote a rant about it.

Poor choice of words, Mr. President.

When you take someone else’s perfectly good life choice and say they shouldn’t do that because they make less money.

It’s not like having their mom at home hurts kids. All Obama said is they don’t make as much when they stay home. So no mother should ever choose to do that?

Maybe she thinks her kids are worth the sacrifice! Are you going to tell her that’s the wrong choice?

Of course, President Obama wasn’t attacking stay-at-home moms. In fact, he didn’t even mention them. What he said is that every mom should have access to daycare services so that they don’t have to choose between working to earn money to improve the lives of their children or being forced to stay home because there is no daycare. That was the whole point of President Obama’s speech. Palin even waited two weeks after the speech to criticize it so it’s not like she didn’t have plenty to time to review what she was attacking. She just didn’t give a damn.

In addition, Bristol Palin went on to insult struggling single mothers by pretending she is one of them.

As a single mom, I have to work. In fact, I drive to Anchorage every day and clock in and out — just to make sure I have a steady income to put bread on the table for my son. However, I don’t think that we should look down on moms who have the option of staying home!

Let’s not pretend that Bristol Palin is a struggling single mother. She most certainly is not. First off, she bought a waterfront home on the lake across from her parent’s home in Alaska. The $400,000 modern house is 3,155 square feet and has 3 bedrooms and 4 baths. That’s the kind of home that struggling single moms can only dream of owning for their own kids. Not only can Bristol obtain daycare for her son by simply enlisting a family member for babysitting duty, she can get financial assistance anytime from her mother, who rakes in the donations by the millions from gullible Tea Party supporters who think she’s actually using her political PAC to fund political campaigns.

Then there’s the little detail of Bristol being paid $100,000 for a story she provided to In Touch Weekly. She also raked in $262,000 in 2009 alone from campaigning for abstinence after (ironically) becoming the poster child for why abstinence-only sex education doesn’t work. She still works on that campaign, so it stands to reason she makes bank.

Gee, it must be nice to “struggle” Palin-style.

In the real world, many single mothers actually do struggle to put “bread on the table” so their kids don’t go hungry. And not having access to proper daycare services makes that struggle even harder. Most do not have the support system around them to help them take care of their kids so they can work. Most certainly don’t have have a luxurious lakeside home next to their wealthy parents.

So instead of attacking President Obama for his actual understanding of the plight of struggling single moms, Bristol Palin should shut the hell up and stop embarrassing herself in her pathetic effort to convince everyone that she’s one of them and that she understands what they’re going through.
