Conservative Blogger Tweets: I’d Have Shot Mike Brown Right In His Face (IMAGE)

On Thanksgiving Eve, Ben Howe – a contributing editor to the conservative blog Red State – decided to share his view on a grand jury’s decision not to charge officer Darren Wilson in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown.

Taking to Twitter, the conservative editor tweeted to his 31K+ followers that he would have “shot Mike Brown right in his face” if he had been in Wilson’s shoes. Howe’s tweet made it clear that he supported the officer’s actions completely and believed every bit of Wilson’s testimony.

Howe continued to explain that Wilson was justified in shooting the unarmed teenager because Michael Brown wasn’t truly “unarmed” – considering he was over 6 feet tall with fists as weapons (by the way, Wilson is also over 6′ – and had a gun). It’s quite unsettling that Howe is not only 100% on board with an armed officer killing an unarmed teenager, but that he is fantasizing about shooting Brown himself. Howe’s tweet seems to have roots much deeper than simply the Michael Brown case – his tweets are a window into his already existing racist views.

Of course, this riled up several Twitter users, who began to fire back at Howe with objections and questions related to his statements.

Howe actually stayed on Twitter to answer a few and defend his views.

This discussion is far from over, as Howe continues to tweet about the reactions he’s getting to his pre-Thanksgiving tweet. Here are some of his recent tweets from Saturday:

While several Twitter users have dismissed and accused Howe of just trying to stir up trouble, it’s clear that Howe is passionate about his hateful, racist views, and that there are many others who agree with him.
