Donald Trump Is Suing Univision And Blaming The Whole Thing On Hillary Clinton

Recently, Univision – the largest Spanish broadcaster in the United States – severed all ties with GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump after he publicly stated that Mexican immigrants were rapists, drug dealers and criminals.

Anyone with even a small amount of common sense would accept that they’d done something wrong, apologize and lay low, but that’s just not Trump’s style. Furious that the broadcaster cancelled its contract to air Trump’s Miss USA pageant in July, the real estate mogul filed a ridiculous $500 million lawsuit against the company on Tuesday.

The lawsuit is 19 pages of pure lunacy, and not only accuses Univision of trying to take away Trump’s freedom of speech, but blames Democratic White House contender Hillary Clinton for the consequences of his racism. In the lawsuit, Trump whines that Univision owner Haim Saban is a Clinton supporter and fundraiser, and therefore must be trying to sabotage him. The lawsuit states:

“While Univision has claimed in the media that its decision to cut ties with MUO came in response to certain comments by Mr. Trump during a June 16, 2015 campaign speech announcing his candidacy for President of the United States, the decision was, in reality, a thinly veiled attempt by Univision, a privately held company principally owned by longtime Clinton Foundation donor and current Hillary Clinton fundraiser, Haim Saban, to suppress Mr. Trump’s freedom of speech under the First Amendment as he begins to campaign for the nation’s presidency and, in recent weeks, has dramatically risen in the polls while expressing critical views of Mrs. Clinton.”

In an interview with the Daily Caller, Trump revealed just how scared he is of Clinton when he said, “[Univision is] put under a lot of pressure, in my opinion, by the Mexican government to get [me] to not talk about trade and the southern border. The biggest people in Univision, they’re all supporting Hillary. I think that had a lot to do with it. They see how I’m doing in the polls. They know that I’ll beat [Clinton] if I run against her.”

Despite the major backlash he has faced, Trump stood firmly behind those racist comments when he announced the lawsuit against Univision – and implied that he’s been spouting racism for years. He said, “Nothing that I stated was different from what I have been saying for many years. There is a high level of crime occurring in this country due to unchecked illegal immigration.”

Univision, who has seen Trump’s lawsuit, says it is “both factually false and legally ridiculous” and that the organization “will continue to fight against Trump’s ongoing efforts to run away from the derogatory comments he made on June 16th about Mexican immigrants.”

Trump has also threatened to file a lawsuit against NBC after the network pulled the plug on Miss USA, however nothing has been officially filed so far.
