Pastor Who Prayed For Obama’s Death Blames ‘F*ggots’ And Abortion For Paris Attacks (VIDEO)

Stephen Anderson, a homophobic misogynist who somehow still finds time to spew vitriol every week at the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona, knows exactly why God did a bad thing and allowed ISIS to attack Paris last Friday. No, it wasn’t because ISIS is a religious death cult attempting to bring about the apocalypse. Terrorists didn’t attack Paris because those who live there are just terrible people, nor because of Parisians’ refusal to cower in fear after the Charlie Hebdo attacks, or as backlash for France’s welcoming of 24,000 refugees. To Anderson, the answer is much more straightforward: The Arizona hate-pastor says that God allowed Paris to be attacked because of death metal and the France’s acceptance of “faggots.”

“When you go to a concert of death metal, somebody might get killed!” the pastor yelled at his congregation Sunday. “You know, you’re worshiping death, and then, all of a sudden, people start dying!… Well, you love death so much, you bought the ticket, you love worshiping Satan! Well, let’s have some of Satan’s religion come in and shoot you!”

“I mean, that’s what these people should think about before they go into such a wicked concert,” Anderson said. “Nobody should be at a concert worshiping Satan with this drug-pushing hillbilly faggot,” the good pastor added, referencing the lead singer of satirical “feelgood, bluesy boogie-rock” band Eagles of Death Metal, which he refers to as “total sodomite-looking freaks.”

But, really, the nation of France sorta had it coming, Anderson says:

“Now, let me tell you a little bit about this sinful nation of France. Did you know that France is the only country in the world where more than 50% of the population thinks that adultery is fine?”

Hemant Mehta points out in an article on Patheos that the study Anderson cited to “prove” his point “says only 12% of French people think adultery is fine. (About 40% just don’t see adultery as a moral issue),” but facts have never been important to Anderson.

He also wonders why we are expected to feel sorry for hundreds of dead and wounded human beings because women have a right to choose whether or not to give birth to a child in France:

“All of us over here in Tempe, Arizona on the other side of the world from this massacre, we’re supposed to be mourning today about these 120-some people who died in France, but we’re not supposed to give a rip about the 500 babies that France aborted today. That doesn’t matter.”

“What about these death metal fans who died,” Anderson said sarcastically as children in his church laughed. “Let’s all worry about them but nuts to these babies that died.”

Anderson, who suggested killing every “faggot” on the planet would cure AIDS last year, laid out for his congregation the biggest reason God wanted France to be attacked:

“Did you know that France has frequently been named one of the most gay-friendly countries in the world? Did you know that recent polls have indicated that a majority of the French support homo marriage? And in 2013, another poll indicated that 77% of the french viewed that homos should be accepted by society? It’s one of the highest in the world. Did you know that Paris has been named by many publications as one of the most queer-friendly cities in the world? Did you know that on December 31, 2004 the National Assembly of France approved an amendment to existing anti-discrimination legislation making homophobic comments illegal? This sermon wouldn’t even be legal in France. A lot of sermons I’ve preached in the past on the subject of sodomy would not even be legal today in France.”

Anderson added that former “Mayor of France” Bertrand “De-le-nu-way or however he pronounces it” was an “open sodomite,” adding that France brought the attacks on itself:

“Can there be any doubt that France is a sinful nation? How many perverted things have come out of France. How many wicked fashions have originated in Paris, France? It’s a sodomite capitol. It’s a sodomite hub. It’s an abortion holocaust on a daily basis. It is a wicked place where adultery is the norm, it’s acceptable, it’s wonderful, and the judgment of God today is on the sinful nation of France.”

“That’s why France is suffering tonight,” Anderson added, “because they’re wicked in the sight of God. Because they’ve hated the Lord. Because they’ve hated his word….and now they’re suffering tonight because of their sins.”

Pastor Stephen Anderson has a long history of making the news with his idiotic remarks. For instance, he was visited by the Secret Service in 2009 after he very publicly prayed for Obama’s death during a fiery sermon, so you know he’s legitimately batshit crazy:

“Now, turn back to Psalm 58 and let me ask you this question. Why should Barack Obama melt like a snail? Why should Barack Obama die like the untimely birth of a woman? Why should his children be fatherless and his wife a widow, as we read in this passage?

Well, I will tell you why. Because, since Barack Obama thinks it is OK to use a salty solution, right, to abort the unborn, because that’s how abortions are done, my friend, using salt — and I would like to see Barack Obama melt like a snail tonight.”

“And you’re going to tell me that I’m supposed to pray for the socialist devil murderer infanticide who wants to see young children and he wants to see babies killed through abortion, you’re gonna tell me I’m supposed to pray for God to give him a good lunch tomorrow when he’s in Phoenix, Arizona,” he told his congregation. “Nope, I’m not gonna pray for his good. I’m going to pray that he dies and goes to Hell…When I go to bed tonight, Stephen J. Anderson is going to pray for Barack Obama to die and go to Hell.”
